Non-manmade freak hybrids: need a plot device?

There is some reoccuring weird mix of features in Western kaiju thare not mystical, sometimes like completely different phylums, particularly Monsterverse.

Now normally I'd leave that alone, but considering Dr. Demonicus's experiments in marvel comics, where he created similar creatures with radiation of a meteorite...

Well it just feels this might be something can be turned into worldbuilding, some sort of plot device. Some weird but rare process , related to something in the deep gravity-anomaly caverns cribbed from Monstervers, that can be recreated.

(Megapede from Godzilla the Series might also fit into this category of hybrids, but the designer, bless him, did not understand the assignment of a centipede and made a caterpillar, but I don't think the script knew the difference either. the name is good.)

I THEN EXTRACTED HORMONES FROM THE MUTATED TISSUES AND INJECTED THEM BACK INTO THE LIFEFORMS. 

THEN, EXPOSING THE HORMONE-TREATED ORGANISMS TO THE METEOR... WELL, IT WORKED!!

THE ORGANISMS MUTATED, BECAME MONSTERS--SUCH AS MY FIRST CREATION, BATRAGON!

So did Batragon mutate from the bat, the baby komodo dragon, or did they fuse together?

Evil Irradiated Man-Made Mutation

Height: 25 meters

Wingspan: 50 meters

Weight: 13,000 metric tons

Comic Appearances: Godzilla, King of the Monsters #4

Powers:

Claws - Batragon has extremely sharp claws.

Bite - Batragon has a powerful bite with a jaw full of sharp teeth.

Hide - Batragon has a thick hide that protects him from most physical damage. 

Flight - Batragon is able to fly and counts as an AERIAL KAIJU and takes the OPPOSITE Bonus for the Cover offered by a battlefield, treating NONE as EXTREME, for example. Such is his agility that Batragon may RE-ROLL his FIRST 3 FAILED Defense Rolls in each battle.

Endurance: Batragon is able to fly with only one wing capable of flapping. It was also able to pass through an electrical forcefield powerful enough to hold off Godzilla (Marvel) without dying from the shock like its creator expected.

Hybrid physiology: Batragon was created by fusing a bat and a komodo dragon. It may count as either a REPTILE or MAMMAL for environmental conditions, whichever is more advantageous.

Weakness:

Time - Batragon cannot remain away from the Lifestone for extended periods of time.

Personal Primal Number: - 46 - Lifestone - Batragon has found a piece of the Lifestone, HEALING ONE WOUND and CANCELING its first Special Rule, increasing its OPN back by how much it lost from "Time Is the Enemy" 

Special Rules:

 - Time is the Enemy - Batragon cannot be away from the Lifestone for long periods of time. AFTER 5 ROUNDS, Batragon's Power and Defense Numbers are REDUCED -5 EACH ROUND, down to the minimum or the PPN is rolled.

-Firstborn Favoritism- While Batragon's creator Dr. Demonicus has moved on to other monsters, he is incredibly protective of the first monster he ever created.

Before the any Pre-Battle events, Batragon rolls a d10.   On a roll of '1' he does not come to the fight alone - he sends an Evil Radioactive Mutant Alien-modified Cyborg Dinosaur to assist Batragon!

The creature takes TWO Wounds to defeat and has half of Batragon's PN (to a minimum of 15) due to being one of Demonicus's mass produced monsters, and may take an AERIAL cover bonus or normal cover bonus. Any allies this monsters gains due to its classification are Batragon's allies and won't attack Batragon, even in Pre-Battle events, however the creature itself will not appear until after Pre-Battle events.

Only Batragon needs to be defeated to win the match. Dr. Demonicus's second monster will leave once Batragon is defeated.

The Radiactive Mutant Alien-modifed Cyborg Dinosaurs is an homage to multiple things he made after Batragon when he became an enemy of the Shogun Warriors and got the funding of an alien empire behind him.

Shogun Warrirors was a toyline made up of various imported toys that got a Marvel Adaptation. The toyline even had a Godzilla toy!
