Batter, Batter || Christina & Frank
Christina pulled open her closet door, letting a long, exasperated sigh leave her lips. What had she gotten herself into? It wasn't that she didn't like Frank -- in fact, it was quite the opposite. She had gotten along rather well with the guy, even if he'd poked fun at her eating habits; instead, she was more intrigued with what part of her had decided to show him a part of her that she had ignored for so long.
First, though, she needed to change. There was no way she'd be able to make it to the field in the heels she had on currently nor the skirt that wrapped around her waist. Christina kicked off the pumps, placing them carefully side by side in the trail of shoes that outlined the perimeter of her closet. She'd need something more sturdy, like the white lace ups she'd purchased earlier that summer though, she'd never actually worn them. Grabbing them from the line up, Christina turned her attention to which bottoms she'd wear. It was too hot for pants, but too breezy for shorts, so she settled for in between: capris. Finding her favorite pair, she pulled them as well, before tossing her blazer and replacing it with a flannel. When she was satisfied with her new outfit, Christina directed her attention to her hair, pulling it up in a loose pony tail.
In less than ten minutes, Christina del Costa had managed to transform herself from the girl that everybody knew to the one whom she kept hidden on a daily basis. The girl in the mirror was innocent...naive but the one in reality; she'd changed over the years. Hardened herself to the person that she'd become and learned to deal with things the hard way. It was amazing what could happen in the span of a few years.
Grabbing her cell phone, wallet, and sunglasses, Christina made her way outside of Delta, some how managing to avoid her sisters, not that she'd have minded them seeing her as she was. She was a tad bit early than her estimated time; she took a seat on the steps leading to Delta's entrance, pulling out her phone to check the time again, though she'd checked it only moments before.
