Welp, here are the designs I did for digidoodler‘s characters to go along with the ones I made for @dreamy-94. Unlike Kanky and Budder, Battey and Buttsmon are a switch up so while Bitey is soulless and Cinnamon has a soul, Buttsmon is soulless and Battey has a soul. Battey is a good child and cares deeply for their loved ones; however, they are extremely hyper and have problems controlling their energy. It gets so bad that they are often distracted and impulsive and have frequent moments of fidgeting, screaming, running amok, and difficulty speaking. Their parents found it difficult to rear the child due to their strange behavior and lack of communication so they sent them away to a facility near Ebott that specializes in raising children with special needs. However, Battey did not like the facility and felt abandoned by their parents so they ran away to Mt. Ebott where they encountered Buttsmon.
Buttsmon was not born with a soul so they are unable to feel any emotions such as happiness or love and makes them apathetic to almost every situation. They fell into the underground in which they badly injured their back giving them their crooked stance and were adopted by the Dreemurrs who nursed them back to health. They were never sure of what to think of the Dreemurrs who were so kind and loving to them without asking for anything in return which often made them feel confused and guilty since they could not return that love. After living in the underground for a few years, they saw no benefit of staying there any longer and plotted to escape their new home. Buttsmon targeted the least riskful victim in the underground, Asriel, but changed their mind to spare his life as payment for the Dreemurrs’ services. They instead closed in on Gaster while he was working on the CORE (since it was easy to mistake his death as a laboratory accident), killed him, absorbed his soul, and left the underground, leaving the monsters behind. They soon encountered Battey afterwards. The two began to travel together because Buttsmon figured it would be safer and easier to travel in numbers until they split ways and Battey just wanted a friend. Battey’s “odd” love is a little one-sided, but they are determined to be the best friend/lover possible while Buttsmon is VERY slowly developing feelings from the soul they absorbed, but they are not sure how to respond to them often leading to Buttsmon completely ignoring their emotions, confusing actions, or utter chaos. But with Battey’s guidance, these two have a very bright future ahead of them :)
