So the battlefront trailer for the Death Star DLC dropped. My thoughts under the note since I don’t wanna fill up anyone’s blogs.

OKAY! SO!
This trailer looks fucking awesome. I’m excited that they put out Battlefront 2 content into the main game, definitely something to appeal a lot of the hate going on around the game. At the same time, it looks fresh, it looks fast, it looks gorgeous. I have a few key points in particular that caused my jeans to be a little bit tighter.
Obviously, SPACE COMBAT is a huge thing! I know that they’ve been asked to add it since the game first dropped, but honestly I think this makes so much sense as opposed to putting it into the vanilla game. First off, if we had space combat on Sullust for instance, we wouldn’t really get a chance to admire how good the planet’s surface looks from the air - and it’s DICE, so obviously it’s gorgeous. Also, they probably wanted it to be a big surprise for the release of their new gamemode, which I am REALLY looking forward to! (Also the fact that you are in space destroying key components of a capital ship once more... hoo boy) Oh yeah, and can I just point out that we’re orbiting Geonosis, since this is before it got moved to Scarif. Anyone else hoping to find Clone Wars easter eggs hidden in the debris of the asteroid field?
The interior of the Death Star is also incredible. I’m so happy that they’ve added memorable areas from the Battlefront 2 map that everyone loved so much, plus they added a ton of new areas as well! The trash compactor is still there, but the command bridge? That’s totally new! I’m looking forward to exploring the area that DICE has put out for us to enjoy in a few days time!
Speaking of new content, how about those heroes? Chewie looks a bit odd, as the comments have painfully pointed out, but guys he is literally a massive walking carpet okay like that’s gonna be a bit hard to model realistically. Bossk, on the other hand, looks fucking incredible. I’m so glad they’re doing what they did with Dengar where they take inspiration (and voice work) from the Clone Wars TV show, since it added a ton of backstory to lesser known characters. I won’t go into their abilities and such, but I’m looking forward to trying them out on the battlefront.
Moving on to the next phase, though, the long-awaited Death Star trench run. Okay literally you get to fly Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced (Which we only got to do in those Battlefront games for the PSP. I played them religiously, but I am looking forward to some high-framerate combat). And Luke’s X-Wing. Not super special, but it’s gonna have some pretty neat tricks (Like R2 can repair it, which is super dope). And it looks so fast-paced! Holy fuck! Like I’m gonna have an adrenaline high if I have to dodge laser-fire, obstacles in the trench, and an angry Sith Lord on my tail.
All in all, I am looking forward to this DLC! Hope to see you guys on it on Tuesday!
Sometimes I forget how shitty Battlefront EA is and I try to play it. It’s a goddamn DL-44, camping exposive shitfest, and somehow I always end up w/ the shitty teammates. And no matter how many times I try to shoot a guy, I always lose in a gunfight, no exceptions. Fuck this game
I just watched the movie, let’s say it was surprising and obvious at the same time. hehe

I’ll talk about Star Wars a whole, not only the movie... since it is a franchise I love well beyond ancient times, I wanna see how this all reverberate in it. but let’s begin here: First of all. I love the lead characters.
- Rey is everything I could want, she’s my kind of heroin. She has a strong presence and an interesting personality, she’s smart and fierce, she’s everything packed together, hehe
Her scenes and lines are really good, tbh my favorite part about her scenes was the flashback, its intriguing.
The down side is: As much as I adored seeing her fight so fiercely and - using Anakin’s lightsaber (HEAR ME the parallels - the legacy, ugh) I think it was a bit too much that she was able to face Kylo so easily without training? Did I miss something...? It just felt like, sort of made Kylo seems weak. I know there are good theories going around, but until them I’ll be waiting for a good explanation in the sequel.
Also, very good choice of actress for Rey, as she has a bit of that “wild beauty” that (slightly) reminded me of Lyanna for some odd reason. I adore her, she’s awesome. The clothes they choose for her are also very nice and suits her character.
To finish it up, I’m surprised on the amount of sheer badassery they put on her recipe, a rarity even on our days, unfortunately for a female character. I’m giving an A+ for her, hehe
- Kylo Ren, will probably let him for another topic, but ugh I thought he would be so different. I was gladly surprised, he was amazing.
I never expected them to already reveal so much of his backstory, as in I thought he would remain a masked mystery for longer, and suddenly we know he’s Han’s son and he let his mask off so easily, hehehe everything happens... ugh. That was heartbreaking... and I get a feeling Leia will suffer a lot more because of him, sadly... after all of this I’m not so sure anymore of his redemption or if he could be alive after this for too long.
Let’s see how this develops... I’m still holding firmly on the belief Rey will be useful for this, heh
I found it hilarious that they made him break stuff and mess everything when angry haha this way they kept mirroring Darth Vader’s iconic bursts of anger very smartly. Plus his clothes/design is uber epic awesome. This guy has style. My love for long black robes reach well beyond the stars and constellation, it is known. Plus his sword is baddass, no problem here. It reminds me more of a medieval sort of sword (me likes, surely likes). In the end it all created a great composition of colors regarding Ren/Rey, they clash so well.
Now, to the other characters... Finn & Poe were golden, esp Finn, he’s lovable guy and I adore his interactions with Rey. It just bugged me (again) his easy use of the lightsaber??? He isn't even Force sensitive, how can this be? He could even face Kylo.. (for a while)
The droid, BB-8? Is freaking adorable, like I don’t even know how they manage to make a little ball thing so cute, hehe and a lot of things are great, I adored seeing old couple Han and Leia, it was great.
Things that I’m not so sure about, regretting the new direction ST is taking:
- The almost complete erasure of the prequel saga - not exactly related to the movie but to star wars in general.. (I saw this coming miles away, but...) sorry but theres no way I will always feel bitter about it as I am a fan of it.
- The game battlefront III? ugh is a joke. I hate what dice/EA/disney or whatever did to the star wars games in general. It isn’t only Battlefront but most new games seems just a graphic show to me lately.. no content, no fun. Its hollow. An era has ended it seems. Battlefront II was released roughly a decade away and it is a thousand times better than this.
I’ll just go back to my cave and play old games till the end of times...
Just know that now I’m addicted to old-ass star was games again, its really weird. My favorites ever are Star wars Battlefront II, the old snes games and the freaking epic Jedy academy for PC. I’m lost.
Now, more on the movie itself:
-The thing about the stormtroopers not being clones anymore... don’t know it was a bit odd? I missed a few lines, I think
-The First Order’s aesthetic was too similar (for real, carbon copy) of the Empire... they could use a bit more work on that. I know its for the nostalgia, but... I was slightly bugged by that. Don’t know, I love Empire aesthetic but it was a little too much overuse.
-Phasma’s just got kicked out so soon... I was disappointed. I expected some serious baddass action for our Lady of Tarth.
- The old little orange lady alien who know everything of the Force (how, why??? I need answers).
- The big bad guy, supreme leader? I just don’t get him yet. Old good Palpatine will always be my fave nasty mastermind.
- Some issues concerning power levels, listed above.. Yes I’m caring about power levels, that how deep down I’m sinking.
To finish it all.
...Dear @beyond-far-horizons I think you were right on your instincts all along. Imo they did intend to create tension between Kylo and Rey, wasn’t it? It will be interesting to see the developed, I am most curious about this aspect concerning the next movies
I was pretty sure about that for the look of the posters... was good to be right at least once in a lifetime, xD
