I thought I had answered this already but it seems not??

Them as a couple is very inspired, but personally I see them as besties.

Bavani heard many stories about Rosalind Hale, the general who led the Burned Ones crusade. She modelled her entire career on Rosalind, got to be taught under Roz for a brief period of time, not enough to break her spirits, enough to make her see the results of Rosalind's methods.

And then Roz is back from her sabbatical when people need her most, when faries are disappearing and honestly? Bavani wouldn't trust anyone else to lead them.

I think she genuinely was so earnest to talk with Rosalind and to hear old war stories and now their small age gap is not so grand and they're not quite equals, but definitely on friendly terms and Bavani fangirls a little.
