VENUS!!!!! I will now proceed to drop the filter-less version of her turtle art I lowkey forgot about
Okay so first I’m gonna explain her Many names first but her REAL name is Mei. I’m still working on her and Jennika’s full story but she was raised in the Chinatown district of NYC, eventually found by Hun and taken in to the foot clan where her existing abilities as a Shinobi proved useful. By the Foot Clan she was renamed to Bonnie. Venus De Milo is actually the name of the turtle with which she was mutated with! So uh while talking about her I’m sorry if this makes it confusing but I’ll use Venus for the turtle form, Bonnie for specifically her human form, and Mei to refer to both or just talk about her in general
She was only a teenager when the foot clan took her in and she spent a lot of her life very isolated even prior to becoming part of the foot, and though she is very eager to meet others she’s not very good with social cues and may come off as peculiar to others. She’s also very impressionable, and based a lot of her look off of the friends she made within the foot (jennika, shinigami, and karai)! She also learned ‘magic’ from Shinigami. She trusts the girls very much which kind of leads to her downfall but uh we’ll get there eventually. So basically she isn’t with her ‘real family’ anymore but she definitely feels more comfortable with the girls than she ever did before, as the people she was being raised by were very strict and harsh

not a weird question at all!!! firstly timothy is a trans man. The idea was that he started to transition during like summer break or something (idk how long breaks last I was homeschooled) and then when school started again he just. Started going by the new name and stuff and nobody even knew who he was cuz he was so unpopular already. Like with a haircut and without his glasses he was just unrecognizable to them. Thats part of the reason Casey is always like “who is he” cuz he just. Appeared one day. Shinigami was also supposed to be transfem but idk if it’ll even be mentioned at all I haven’t fully worked out the details of her story beyond her work with the animals and her magic and stuff. There’s also another important character who is very much an egg but I’m not gonna say who. Actually I think I saw someone already clock it but again I’ll just. Leave that little bit of information there. When it comes to Donnie and Mikey they literally couldn’t care less when it comes to gender, especially Mikey. Like the entire concept just goes over his head he doesn’t get it, you know. Donnie just thinks gendered stuff is stupid. There’ll probably be more gender diversity as I finally develop more of the characters, there’s a lot I want to add but haven’t figured out how or just characters that I only have a vague concept for. rn I’m working on the punk frogs!!! Here’s the design idea I have for atilla rn, she’s a girl who I also considered being trans

YAYYYYYYY KRYSTAL!!!!!!! She’s dead
okay so she worked for tcri and she was very close to honeycutt, she was one of the only people who knew about the ultroms and helped to keep all of that under wraps for him. She’s one of the only people he talks about seriously cuz he just respected her so much. She ended up quitting after several years but not before she built a body for Honeycutt to inhabit after his eventual death (the ultrom were keeping him alive past what the average person could live but they could only do so much before he just couldn’t function in his current form anymore so his consciousness was to be transferred to a bot). I’ve mentioned this but her and Baxter were very close with Saki and Yoshi and they were around the kids a lot. Krystal adored kids (and they adored her. Renet was a kid when Krystal worked at TCRI and she looked up to her a lot, and to this day still aspires to be like her) but Baxter very much did not lol ,, Krystal and Baxter worked on a variety of projects together, it’d been Baxter’s dream to work at TCRI but Krystal was the one who ultimately ended up working there so he worked solo during those years. I think I might’ve said before that she created the first version of the mutagen? But technically she was just the one who discovered the vital component needed to make it, and Baxter was the one who concocted it. He used it to make the first version of the mousers and he also wanted to make it to ‘cure mortality’ or some shit but Krystal did nawtttt agree with that.
She was very cheerful and others describe her as pretty much always having a smile on her face. She also had a tendency to be reckless though (not wearing proper safety gear like gloves or goggles, taking more of her own blood then she needed, etc stuff like that) that honestly was enabled by Honeycutt and she’d brush it off as not a big deal or anything. This made her come across as airheaded but she was extremely intelligent and surpassed even Baxter in intellect, which is one of the reasons she got the job at TCRI and not him.
CASEY!!!!!!! He really likes spicy food and he primarily eats JUNK. He literally tells Raph that he was living off of Doritos at some point. He also really likes stuff like bagel bites and eggos and whatnot, and PIZZA he loves pizza there was a pizza place him and April always went to as kids and the owner always loaded them up cuz he liked them heheh and they used to get a lot of free treats from there. Also cheese and chocolate (NOT TOGETHER), especially sharp Chedder the sharper the better (my stomach growled while writing this 💀). Hes not a particularly picky eater but he doesn’t like peanut butter and he won’t eat pineapple (pineapple is less of a taste thing and more of he read somewhere that pineapple eats YOu and now he’s freaked out by it).
mmm I won’t say Leo’s most traumatic moment IN the story cuz big spoilers BUT I will say prior to the story it was when his arm was broken. The sad thing is it was less about yknow…. the pain of having a broken arm and no medical help… and more so how he had to rely on his younger siblings while it healed, especially Donnie who was….. As he was then. He felt really guilty (even though he wasn’t even the one who broke it, it’s mentioned in the story (chap 3 I think idk if I moved it) so I won’t say who but. ._.). Also he still sort of experiences pain there but he’s gotten used to it so it’s not something the others even know, they sort of just assume it healed fine thanks to Donnie’s contraptions. Over all that experience definitely led to him doing whatever he could to make sure he didn’t become a liability to his brothers
okay so the thing with splinter is he doesn’t realize the boys have SO MANY PROBLEMS. Hes honestly a little ignorant until it becomes blatantly obvious that something is severely wrong. He for the most part sort of just assumes they’re ALL pretty well. Like he doesn’t even realize how affected Leo was by the broken arm incident. I think if you’d ask him about their trauma he’d be like. What trauma? My boys are fine and happy. THEYRE NOT. But he doesn’t really realize that. I think even when like raph acts out he doesn’t realize why and he mostly just thinks “oh well all teens do this right”. He also isn’t aware that Leo remembers anything about his life before being mutated so he doesn’t even consider that to be a potentially traumatizing experience for them.
I think I answered the sick question so I’m gonna copy and paste that:
“When it comes to the turtles, they actually aren’t really used to getting sick, atleast at first. There actually was one time when they were kids (I had an exact timeline for this but idr remember so let’s just say 9-10-11 years old) where Donnie got REALLY ill, like to the point where they weren’t sure he was gonna make it. And like, they’re kids so obviously they didn’t [know] what to do, Splinter was trying his best but Don couldn’t keep down anything, not even water, and he had a really high fever. Given what they were they couldn’t really seek medical help. The experience made him somewhat of a germaphobe and both him and Leo freak out when one of the others get so much as the sniffles because they’re scared it’ll get to that point again. I think even once they started going to the surface though they probably wouldn’t get sick much cuz even though they don’t really have much exposure to the outside germs or whatever, the mutagen was kind of partially designed to enhance the immune system…. hmmm definitely something I need to think about more though cuz I need to take in to account autoimmune disorders. ANYWAYS I digress…….. in short, if Leo was sick he’d probably quarantine himself to keep the others safe, Raph probably wouldn’t GAF and he’d be all ‘ah I’m not THAT sick I can handle it’ or sleep the whole day away, Donnie would try to work through it and then fall asleep at his desk, and Mikey would probably snuggle into a blanket and shovel ice cream in his mouth while watching TV OK turtles aside I feel like April would DESPISE being sick. Like when she’s even just a little sick she’s MISERABLE. So much as the sniffles or a bit of a sore throat and she doesn’t want to do anything. She’d be VERY irritable for like two weeks straight. O_o”
adding on some stuff to that: but the turtles were actually all sick when they were mutated. Take that as you will
also I noticed I didn’t mention Casey but he’s the kind of guy where if he gets sick he downs as much spicy food as humanely possible and sleeps for like two days straight and then miraculously feels completely better. April is VERY jealous of this

April is very diligent with sunscreen so I think when she gets sunburnt she’s MAD cuz like she slathered it all over her self for WHAT. She hatesss how it feels but unfortunately she cares just a little too much about herself to risk skin cancer
Casey doesn’t care and is very convinced he can’t get sunburnt and the sun repeatedly proves him wrong. I don’t think it’d bother him too much which is why he continues to neglect protection
out of the turtles Raph would definitely get sunburnt the MOST cuz he lovesssss the sun. He’s also the lightest turtle and lighter skin tends to burn faster. The sun does NOT love him. He wouldn’t complain but ohhhh he would hate it so much. April offers him sunscreen and he’s like ohhh I don’t need that. He needs it. Wear the sunscreen, Raph.
Mikey doesn’t burn as often but he HATESSSSSS the feeling of any sort of wet or lotion-like feeling on his skin and actively avoids it. If Leo wants him to wear sunscreen he is going to have to catch him first. He gets mostly upset when he gets sunburnt and definitely scratches at it and makes things worse and April’s like “oh well you could put some aloe on it” NO. Keep that away from him
Donnie unfortunately needs to touch some grass and very rarely goes out in the sun so he doesn’t really need to even think about sunburns. Leo would probably wear sunscreen after April explains it to him and would rarely burn too
I feel like at first Unravel Casey might get along with 2012 Casey and then at some point he’s just like “damn this guy is annoying as hell”. From what I’ve seen he’d be chill with your Casey . I just realized the question specifically says turtles but okay. He’s an honorary turtle

Donnie would find it extremely difficult to get along with ANY other version of himself. Weirdly I feel like he’d probably be coolest with 87 Donnie solely cuz he looks at him and he’s like okay. He’s harmless
Mikey I think would like pretty much any version of himself. Literally the only one I can imagine him having any qualms with is Bayverse cuz of how creepy he was with April lol. Although I don’t know much about IDW yet so idk
I think Raph would be conflicted with other versions of himself too. Like on one hand he sees 2003, Bayverse, 2012, etc and he’s like oh my god these are the coolest people in the world and they’re ME but then at the same time he’s like. I Have to be THE Best me there is. Also I think he’d be intimidated by Rise Raph cuz he’s so LARGE and he’s like why can’t I be the large raph
HOB!!!!!!!!!!! He’s the ‘leader’ / boss of the little merc type group Scratch and Tiger Claw are part of. Idk when I’ll fit them in the story but I’m hoping to squeeze them somewhere into the second part, still working on that outline. But anyways they were all mutated when they went to hunt down Kitsune cuz she basically had possession of a bunch of animals she was NOT supposed to (including Aloplex and Umeko…..). They ended up being mutated somewhere during that. I haven’t decided if I wanted Hob to have been mutated into a lynx or just a regular ol house cat, but Scratch (who was their pet cat) turned into a humanoid cat (cuz he had tiger claw and hob’s dna on him) while Tiger Claw was mutated with one of Kitsune’s tigers, a sort of fusion like Splinter was. So Kitsune hates them and they hate Kitsune LOL. they all three secretly like having been mutated though and they think they’re super cool now like TC even changed her name to match it. They really embrace the whole cat shtick hehe. I considered that Xever might have been apart of the group at some point and then she left (like maybe shortly before the incident that left them mutated?) but I haven’t fully worked that out yet. Hob comes off as super stern and he is pretty bossy but he’s lowkey so unserious sometimes like

Yeah! They’re just shorter forms of their names so they’re not particularly mocking or too affectionate but Krystal calls him Bax and Baxter calls her Krys. ^_^ though I can totally see her calling him stuff like “Baxwax” and shit just to be annoying now and then because there is no such thing as a sibling that is not annoying.

hmm I think it’d depend on who. Like Mikey is horrible at taking hints and understanding social cues so he probably would have no idea what they’d be trying to tell him. With specifically Raph and Leo I feel like they THINK they understand each other but they lowkey are way off so they’d be like. “Oh Leo is telling me to go forward” and Leo was actually trying to tell him to go to the side, so not like full on back but still not quite right yeah idk if that makes sense. Donnie and Leo though definitely. Donnie and Raph? Yeah probably too. Donnie honestly could read Mikey as well but like I said Mikey would not understand Donnie. I feel like at the beginning they’re all like… really disconnected… so it’s something that’ll definitely improve as time goes on

Donnie HATES your friends!!!!! Okay but yeah he is EXTREMELY critical of their friendships and especially of Casey when he first ‘meets’ them (more on this soon but yeah there’s a huge fight about this). He eventually grows onto April but overall anytime any of them make friends with humans he’s like. Are you kidding me. He’s a little chiller with mutants but he’s still gonna judge you
Mikey is meanwhile very accepting of everypony 🌈🌈 thinking about it, he ends up being friends with like. All of everyone else’s friends. Overall he’s extremely supportive of the other three
Leo is cautious but he generally is supportive of it unless he thinks they’re gonna hurt them. Like he definitely keeps a close eye on them at first. Though even after he’s accepted someone he still would definitely turn on them in an instant if they tried anything against one of his brothers. Like okay he ADORES April and Casey but if they were to hurt one of the three on purpose??? GONE!!!!!
Raph dgaf about friends as long as he can bully them. Though he does not really like Timothy specifically that much cuz he thinks he’s annoying and he has no idea how Donnie of all people tolerates him. Oh and he doesn’t like Karai even before they know she’s bad news. He also has a jealousy problem and if they try to ‘take’ his friend he will NOT be happy about it. Also it’d be completely different if one of them started DATING someone cuz then he cares and he hates that person now. No it doesn’t matter if he liked them before he hates them now and they’re gross.

Mona was Mondo’s caretaker since their parents died, so she was constantly worrying about him but she also felt really overwhelmed having to look after him. I think in normal circumstances they’d be a bit relieved at first but with how things are they miss eachother soooo much. They’re sort of seperated and their memories of eachother are somewhat scrambled because of the mutation.
oh Baxter misses Krystal sooooooooooo much it like actually kills him inside cuz he feels like he could’ve prevented her death and at the same time he’s so mad at her cuz she could’ve too and he thinks the way she died is so stupid and she was too smart for that. It’s a mix of blame of himself, her, and others that he’s just been living with for several years and seething over.

the turtles were definitely compared based on their abilities / skills, and it’s one of the reasons Raph has such a complex about being the best, or Donnie is so adamant on being the smartest (since he definitely ranks the lowest among them strength and skill). Splinter kinda saw it as healthy competition, he sort of thought it would motivate them to get better but it mostly just screwed with their view of theirselves.
Krystal and Baxter were constantly pushed by their parents to be great and they were definitely compared academically. Baxter frequently felt jealous of Krystal for exceeding him, such as when she got her job at TCRI. She was good at research and making breakthroughs, while he was better at inventing stuff. They made a good team but they weren’t really able to agree on a lot of stuff. Their morals weren’t really aligned.
22. Is there a shared secret that bonds them? (baxter and krystal)
not really a complete secret but they both bond over their shared passion to make the world a better place… however they have very different ideas of what would do that. The mousers were something they both worked on together at first and what inspired the original creation of the mutagen. But they ended up ultimately being divided by that, too, because they couldn’t agree on what the mutagen should be used for and Krystal started questioning if what they already had used it for was ‘right’.

Umeko is worried that Aloplex may betray Kitsune. Baxter fears Krystal revealing the secret of the mutagen to the world. Krystal was more worried that now that he knew how to make it, Baxter would use the mutagen for purposes she didn’t really think was ethical. This isn’t really the same thing but she also feared he would find out about the ultroms existence.
25. What truth would change everything if spoken? (baxter and krystal and/or the turtles)
if Krystal told Baxter about the ultroms…….. he would FREAKKK. Also I think he’d be even MORE mad that he didn’t get the job at TCRI. Overall it’d probably be a disaster that would’ve tore them apart
with the turtles I can think of one but it’s a BIG spoiler so I’ll just say… Leo knows something. Raph technically knows too that’s why he crashed out. Donnie also just keeps several secrets throughout the story and there’s one that ends up literally hurting someone BADLYYYY. So…. Yeah if those things were just OUT there it definitely would change things
also idk if this is good for this question but they really just need to say ‘I love you’ man…. Like there are a few moments where they start and get interrupted or stop before then can but bro they need to hear it from eachother so bad. Mikey is the one who’s most unabashed about saying it but the other three ALWAYS hesitate. Even Leo. It wasn’t something Splinter said too often because of how HE was raised so they sort of just feel… awkward? about saying it but oh they need it

Aloplex more than Umeko, as Umeko is very willingly loyal to Kitsune, whereas Aloplex kind of wants to be her own fox. When Aloplex sees Tiger Claw she sort of aspires to be like that. Loud and rambunctious without worrying what others thought of it, carefree yknow. She really wants some freedom. Umeko tries to remind her that they’re comfortable as they are and that their way of living is honorable and better for them than that though.
30. Who cleans up the messes? (the turtles)
Leo is the one who takes responsibility for most of their messes, although Donnie is like… somewhat tidy. Like he keeps his bed neat and stuff but if someone else makes a mess he expects THEM to clean it. He would not clean someone’s mess for them. Mikey is very messy and does not like to clean, Raph’s sort of the same way but the messes are mostly isolated to just his room. So Leo usually cleans up after those two as well as himself. He likes to keep things clean and doesn’t really like disorder of any sort, it helps him stay calm to have a neat area.
34. Who would rather drift apart from their siblings? (the turtles)
Raph without a doubt. Donnie probably seems like he would but he very much NEEDS the others, especially Leo. I mean the Raph thing speaks for itself in the first chapter alone LOL but yeah definitely Raph. Leo and Mikey are the complete opposite of that where they’d do anything to stay with the others.

I think Casey would have absolutely no idea how old the turtles are when he first meets him. Like he hears someone mention Leo being the oldest and he’s like okay well is he like. 15 or 25. Also yes I know I draw Mikey a lot. Sue me. I like mikey
some random TMNT unravel lore / fun facts cuz I haven’t done a post like this in a while
Donnie and Raph were born between 11pm-12 am, so it’s hard to say whether their birthday is March 20th or 21st. When they were younger, Master Splinter would celebrate their birthdays on different days (Raph demanded to celebrate first, so his was the 20th and Donnie’s was the 21st). Once they got older they stopped caring and usually stretch the celebration out both days. They don’t know who is older because Splinter claims to have no memory of it.
Leo only really likes being called Leo. He HATES being called Nardo—like it REALLY upsets him—and Raph used to bully him for it, which made things worse. He also doesn’t like being called ‘Leon’, as Donnie uses the nickname to be condescending towards him. He isn’t too fond of Leonardo, and asks people to just call him ‘Leo’. He also doesn’t mind ‘Lee’ (sometimes used by Mikey and occasionally Donnie or Casey).
Raph LOVESSSS the outdoors. The sun, the stars, the grass, the snow, the rain, the wind, all of it!!! He loves being outside and is definitely the sibling that makes the most of the surface. He wants to play in the dirt and the snow and swim (none of them can swim at the start though) and climb everywhere.
I think I’ve already made this obvious but Mikey has a strong aversion to water and getting wet. He doesn’t even like drinking it. He hates rain, swimming (can’t swim), bathing (yikes), ANYTHING to do with water / getting wet. It makes him extremely uncomfortable. He doesn’t really remember it but he almost drowned as a very young child, which probably heavily contributed to his disdain to the feeling.
Casey named himself that because he wanted to detach himself from his father (Arnold sr). He picked ‘Casey’ after his mother (Cassandra), and Jones after her maiden name ‘cuz he didn’t want neither his bio father or stepfather’s surname.
Leo is nosey as helllll. He excuses it with ‘oh I’m just looking out for my brothers :)’ but he lowkey also just wants to Know. I think his anxiety is quite clear at this point but he hatessss not knowing what to expect and he feels that he needs AS MUCH information as possible so that he’s never caught off guard. He’s the reason they have to specify ‘alone’ whenever they ask to talk to someone cuz he’s alwayssss trying to get in on the conversation.
April loves sparkly things and glitter and diys so as you may imagine, she’s often up-cycling her things to make them shimmery. She also loves painting her nails in glittery colors. She can get Casey to let her paint his nails but unfortunately has been unable to convince him to use sparkly colors cuz he’s the opposite where he does NOT like glitter.
Donnie gets very motion sick. He also gets very sea sick. He also starts to feel sick when he’s in a lot of pain, and overall is just easily made nauseous. So basically they should be keeping a bag on hand at all times (they don’t)
Raph always feels like he needs to be biting or chewing things when he’s stressed, and it’s one of the reasons he bit the others so much when they were younger. Now he usually just eats, or finds the first thing he can to sink his teeth into (sometimes his hand or arm). He loves chewy stuff.
Some side char stuff too because I love them and I love you….
Honeycutt is biologically related to Renet, as he was the father of one of her great-great grandparents, but he did not raise them and has no idea what happened to them. He never married nor did he have much of any contact with his child (and he was fine with this, as he didn’t want children, or a spouse for that matter). He somehow ends up with custody of Renet when he’s presumably her last surviving family member. Honeycutt does not know what happened to her parents (or grandparents) and neither does she. She’s very happy and considers him a wonderful (grand)father and even handles all of his maintenance now that he’s a robot but from an outside view he definitely had an unconventional parenting style and struggled to emotionally connect with her, being very conflicted by her very existence.
Mona lovesss plants, and was aspiring to be a botanist prior to her mutation. She loves to show the others all of the photos she has of different plants and to give fun facts about the ones they pass while outdoors. Mondo (her brother) has a lot of random plant knowledge because of this.
Leatherhead becomes very attached to Mikey ‘cuz he’s the first person to show him any bit of kindness or gentleness and WILL bite you if you try to hurt him in anyway. He has bitten someone badly enough to require amputation before.
Jennika tries to keep things strictly professional between her and everyone higher ranking than her, and because of this refuses Karai’s attempts at friendship. She does, however, treat Bonnie as a trusted ally and equal, and may or may not shoot her shot with her every once in a while (it completely goes over her head, mind you, but). She is relatively reserved and doesn’t ever talk about her life prior to the foot, not even to those of equal status to her.
Xever abandoned the cats (Hob, Scratch, and Tiger Claw, I don’t have a better name yet sorrys) shortly before the three of them were mutated. They’re on relatively good terms for the time being but she wanted to go solo so she could hopefully rack in more cash. It’s all about the money for her and she’ll turn on others in an instant.
Karai puts her guard up around men, and only really places trust in the Shredder. She’s especially harsh to Baxter and makes it clear from the get-go that she does not like nor trust him. She’s a lot more mellow towards women and exclusively works alongside them whenever given the option. Hun doesn’t try to hide the fact that he doesn’t like her, either.
Baxter has NEVER liked Saki (Shredder) and Saki has never liked him but they kind of always have had to just deal with it. Baxter didn’t mind Yoshi (Splinter) but didn’t have much of a relationship with him. When I say the Stockmans were close with the two of them, I’m mostly speaking for Krystal.
Even after everyone tries to explain the mutation to him, Timothy is still convinced that the turtles are secretly aliens.
Irma is very chronically online and obsessed with fictional men. She’s constantly on social media, reading x reader fanfics, watching edits, or playing games just cuz the cute guy she saw in a tik tok is in it. She chooses a new character to obsess over every week. >_>

It’s not gonna be a central part of the story but there is some :3 okay. now here’s where I finally reveal that the entire story was originally a short rasey fic idea I had a while ago and scrapped. then when I picked it back up again rasey was still meant to be a very central part of the story. I kind of toned it down slowly until I got to the point where I didn’t even know if I was gonna have them be canon or just leave it sort of implied (to be decided….). So there you have it without Rasey there would be no TMNTU LOL
okayyyy them aside I also originally had Aprilnardo plans but again that kind of ended up in the same case as Rasey, maybe even more so because of something I cannot say for spoilers. Also I know I make Jonatello jokes a lot but it’s just for fun I never intended them to be together cuz they lowkey hate eachothers guts lol. Other ships I’ve considered briefly are Apritello (I thought it’d be interesting cuz of Donnie’s aversion to humans and then him falling in LOVE with one?? Hehe) and then April x Casey (in the earliest version of the story they were kind of strangers and Casey hits on her lol) and before I added Shinigami, Jennika was actually supposed to be in a situationship with Karai lmao. On that topic, one relationship I do completely intend to have is Karai and Shinigami ^_^ they kind of have a secret relationship thing in the current version of that, so not quite the same thing I planned for Karai and Jennika. Oh and both Splinter and Shredder had wives but they’re DEAD so that doesn’t really count….. oh and the stockmans both had spouses but Krystal isn’t with hers anymore… uhh Cassandra has a husband (aka Casey’s stepfather) hrmmm…… tbh I guess a lot of the romance adults aside is mostly just implied right now instead of explicitly shown but I’ve only got the first two parts fully planned so we’ll see where it goes ;3 I’m fine with anyone shipping any of my characters together though as long as you’re respectful and obviously no TCEST or anything of the like ^_^ oh and I don’t have a bebop or rocksteady (yet) but if I did they’d probably be together too heheh
oh and um one weird thing I cling onto as a theme is love being stronger than hate so it’d be kind of weird not to make an acknowledgment of romantic love (even if familial / platonic love is the main focus of the point) so overall yeah there will probably be important romances (Shinirai aside) EVENTUALLY I just don’t have the full plans (I wrote this part in after finishing the ask list so sorry if I just repeated something I already said T_T)

When it comes to the turtles, they actually aren’t really used to getting sick, atleast at first. There actually was one time when they were kids (I had an exact timeline for this but idr remember so let’s just say 9-10-11 years old) where Donnie got REALLY ill, like to the point where they weren’t sure he was gonna make it. And like, they’re kids so obviously they didn’t k is what to do, Splinter was trying his best but Don couldn’t keep down anything, not even water, and he had a really high fever. Given what they were they couldn’t really seek medical help. The experience made him somewhat of a germaphobe and both him and Leo freak out when one of the others get so much as the sniffles because they’re scared it’ll get to that point again. I think even once they started going to the surface though they probably wouldn’t get sick much cuz even though they don’t really have much exposure to the outside germs or whatever, the mutagen was kind of partially designed to enhance the immune system…. hmmm definitely something I need to think about more though cuz I need to take in to account autoimmune disorders. ANYWAYS I digress…….. in short, if Leo was sick he’d probably quarantine himself to keep the others safe, Raph probably wouldn’t GAF and he’d be all ‘ah I’m not THAT sick I can handle it’ or sleep the whole day away, Donnie would try to work through it and then fall asleep at his desk, and Mikey would probably snuggle into a blanket and shovel ice cream in his mouth while watching TV
OK turtles aside I feel like April would DESPISE being sick. Like when she’s even just a little sick she’s MISERABLE. So much as the sniffles or a bit of a sore throat and she doesn’t want to do anything. She’d be VERY irritable for like two weeks straight. O_o

hmm I thought about this for a little while and decided they would shed but probably less frequently than the average turtle would, so very rarely, with Raph and Leo having the most frequent sheds. Raph would definitely pick at it, like a scab, and I honestly think he’d probably be most annoyed with the shed, to a dramatic degree. Leo would try to get the others to soak but he’d be largely unsuccessful when it came to Mikey cuz of his disdain for water lol. I think Mikey would end up irritating the skin by scratching at it. Donnie would probably be too grossed out to pick at it. Hmmm definitely something I have to think more about

OK ummm with Leo he does enjoy baths, and tries to get rest but being who he is he’s always hiding injuries, big or small, so he doesn’t feel like a liability. this is totally not gonna blow up in his face in the future whattt hehe … also I mentioned I think but he really bad about skipping meals and constantly overworking himself past the point of exhaustion… also he has a bad habit of ‘punishing’ himself for his mistakes so yeah not too great
Raph works out a lot and he generally does do basic self care like eating enough, sleeping right, etc but he’s also very bad about not tending to his injuries or behaving very recklessly cuz he feels he can ‘take it’ / ie feels he has something to prove there…. I genuinely can’t remember if I talked about this before but he also had somewhat of a history with self harm where when he’d get upset enough he’d bite or beat himself, though he doesn’t really do it much anymore
I’m not gonna sugarcoat it Donnie treats his body like shit. He doesn’t like to eat, sleep, etc as I’ve said cuz he feels it’s a waste of time and he could be creating stuff in the moments he’d use on doing that kind of stuff. He has the least amount of energy and motivation when it comes to caring for himself and I’ve honestly been writing him with depression in mind so yeah. He’s not doing so great. I feel like Leo and Donnie do help eachother stay somewhat healthy by constantly getting on eachother about eating / drinking and taking breaks haha. Leo will be like “Donnie when is the last time you had a meal?”, and Donnie would shoot back with, “When’s the last time YOU had a meal?” And there’d be this awkward silence before both get up to eat something…. so it… kind of works out?
I don’t feel like Mikey is purposely mistreating his body and honestly he’s probably the best off of the turtles but I wouldn’t say he treats it like a temple or whatever. I mentioned it a few times but he specifically has an aversion to water and he’s probably dehydrated more often than not, and he REALLY doesn’t like baths so Leo basically has to scrub him down every once and a while to keep him clean. But like if he had an injury he’d go to Donnie, he eats right, and he tries to sleep normally but he has insomnia so he struggles ,,, with raph he’s also the most insecure / hateful of their mutated form and realllyyyy wishes he was human. Or a cat. Cats work too
With Casey he was malnourished when Raph meets him and he honestly eats so much junk food. He’s not like consciously out to sabotage himself but I don’t think he much cares for his body, or atleast doesn’t really go out of the way to show it special care. He’s pretty reckless and gets injured easily because of it
April’s probably the healthiest of the six. She gets plenty of exercise but doesn’t overwork herself, she tries to take care of her appearance cuz she really wants to make an impression on others, and she eats relatively normally. She grew up without any women in her life but instead of trying to go into things blind I think she’d do a lot of research so she’s probably got a better understanding of her body than the others have of theirs, and I do feel she’d go out of the way to take care of it ^_^

RAPH AND MIKEY!!! Raph specifically has a Charmander plush that he looooves but he’s pretty embarrassed of it until Casey hypes it up lol and Mikey was the kid who ended up with any of the plushies Splinter brought them, usually cuz he’d snatch them. He really loves animals so he has a bunch of animal stuffies and also a SpongeBob one. His bed is like 80% plushies which is funny considering he usually doesn’t even sleep in his bed. They were his favorite thing to play with as a young child

yesss mikey is a meow-er (and generally any sounds starting with m specifically) and the only one of them who really has any vocal stims, he specifically likes to repeat sounds (which Raph has always found annoying). Raph and Leo also stim but not vocally ^_^

Part of it was him wanting to help the others and the other was genuine intrigue with the way things worked. Like when they first got the TV he was just completely amazed and wanted to pick it apart to figure it out. It truly started when said television broke and he played around with it until it was fixed and from that point on he kept fixing and ‘inventing’ things. If Splinter would bring anything no one wanted or used he’d scrap it for parts (he hoards a lot of parts in case he ever needs them), and slowly as he figured things out he made more and more advanced things. The others would praise him or get excited about his gadgets and it gave him an odd sense of accomplishment that he DEFINITELY did not get a lot of as a kid. I guess it did kind of end up becoming unhealthy though as he began placing all of his worth into what he could make / do and now neglects his wellbeing in favor of working on his projects.

Hmm I don't think there’s a specific question I wanted to answer but there is some random stuff I’ve been wanting to talk about but haven’t found the chance to squeeze it into any posts….. the thing with rasey starting the whole fic was actually one of those things lol so without further ado I will now drop completely random story information:
the stockmans and shredder both knew the turtles as human kids and frequently saw them prior to their mutation, but after Splinter and the boys were mutated everyone thinks they are dead and a funeral ceremony is held for them despite there being no body or evidence of them dying. Baxter doesn’t recognize the turtles at first but Shredder will immediately connect the dots …… also Baxter ends up working under Shredder (they actually were working together before the mutation incident but went their separate ways and Baxter began working for the Purple Dragons) but they both DESPISE each other. unfortunately Baxter doesn’t really have a choice
Also random but Donnie and Splinter both just straight up lie a bunch and I won’t always acknowledge it I’m just gonna trust readers to catch it
ok one last random answer: the date. TMNTU was supposed to be set this year (so 2026) and originally it was supposed to be somewhere between June-August for the first part but then I remembered….. summer break…… and uh since school is somewhat prevalent for April during that part I moved it and now it’s supposed to take place between late May - early June (the entirety of the first part takes place over a course of like 8-10 days I think), and there was supposed to be about 3-5 months between the first and second part…….. I don’t have set days for their birthdays but Leo’s was meant to be January 2010, Karai’s would be February 2009, Raph and Donnie’s would be March 2011, April’s May 2011, Mikey October 2012, and then Casey was born in December 2009 (so Leo, April, Karai, and Raph and Donnie have already had birthdays before it starts)

Leo would probably have the best grammar and honestly driest texts. He’s the guy who puts periods at the end of EVERY text and I don’t think he’d really use emojis, he’s probably drop a :) here and there, and I don’t think he’d use abbreviations either (like brb, idk, etc)
Raph I don’t think would care to double check his grammar or spelling, and I think all of his longer texts would be incomprehensible because he doesn’t understand commas (none of them went to school so there knowledge / education came entirely from what Splinter taught them or what they’d figure out themselves through what little they had). I think he’d pull an emoji here and there like 😡😡😡😒😒😐😐😐. Also he’d like caps way too much
Despite being the smartest I feel like Donnie would constantly make typos because he’s typing so fast and at some point he just gives up trying to correct them so half his texts look like this (exposing myself here cuz I couldn’t find better examples):
and I think he’d only use emojis or kaomojis when he’s displeased. Like not :) or >:( but he’d really love to drop a ;-; or -_- in the chat lols
Mikey would be the most expressive. He’d pull ALL the emojis and kaomojis. He’s gonna :3 :D O_O 🧡 😋 😼 🔥 his heart out. I think he’d like to keysmash too hehe but I don’t think he’d pay too much mind to his spelling, and given that he’s always read the least of the four (and yknow. Dyslexia) he would probably misspell stuff a bunch

I love all of them but Mikey is probably my favorite 🥹 I really adore him he’s very important to me. non-turtle wise I really adore Karai. Some other special mentions (other than the turtles ofc theyre all four my sons) : Mona, Krystal (she wasn’t supposed to be too important but I did get attached 🥹), Casey, April, and then I’m growing onto Jennika and Bonnie as I work on their stories too….. probably more I forgot I just get attached way too easily LOL
