#th3op3rator update I've definitely slowed down the last few weeks - after my Monday men's league ended (we got 2nd place, regular season and playoffs), it just so happened that we had a three week break for our Thursday coed league. And suddenly, my Osgood/patellar tendonitis flared up so I figured a little rest and recovery is in the books. Dialed it down to 1x a week- and kept those sessions easy. Gotta listen to the body- as much as I'd like to play basketball every day, it's time to go back to mechanics and determine what's causing the issues. Limited ankle dorsiflexion, tight quads that cause excess patellar tendon strain- the list can go on. Stretching and foam rolling help a ton. The percussion massager is doing it's job loosening up the muscle tissues. The knees feel better, but still got a ways to go. Was expecting to go shoot around for Wednesday basketball, but woke up with a splitting headache and reconsidered. Got a message from @chanceisearly saying that nobody was at Scripps, and he was going to check CMR out. I figured I'd go spend 10-15 minutes shooting around, to get the blood flowing (hoping I'd feel better). As a rolled in, I was the 9th in order to play full court. (And I've got a rule, I'll never be the reason we can't run 5s). Got three quick games in, and headed home to get ready for work. That fifteen minutes turned into an hour 🤷♂️. Glad I got my exercise in today. #healthisapriority #operationbasketball #getbucketseveryday #bballaddiction (at Carmel Mountain Ranch, San Diego) https://www.instagram.com/p/B58veeAh0us/?igshid=gwjbupnu5vma
