Catrin Nye investigates the use of digital influencers in the advertising industry.
Photography used by digital influencers to advertise products on social media. How this is related to the mental health, unregulated conditions with advertising on the internet, capitalism, commodity, exchange of values, trading your own body. Digital influencer are getting very popular year over the year. Some might have millions followers on the social media. Many of them are having significant impact on teenagers. The adolescents while growing up and trying to work out about their own identity are in seek to found an ‘Idol’ to follow. A new star, a mentor, a fashion blogger, a crazy girl or a boy. Even though it does look pretty much okay to have an idol in teenage times as we all had it, and still might have it, but in nowadays no-one calls them idols anymore, now we have digital celebrities, influencers who are paid large sums of money to advertise products on their social media accounts. Behind many influencers we could found big companies trying to gain more customers and sell more unnecessary product to push consumption to the extreme.
I might use this material in relation to Osborne theory of value and exchange, or talk also about body exchange of woman in capitalism times in comparison to the soviet block relationships before 1989, how in USSR sex was trade, not as a exchange for home and money, but more from love, as woman was more independent.

WHY do millions of people Buy Bungee straps.
Why do YOU have Bungee straps on your bike, in your car, in the garage, at work, in your van, on your roof rack.
The very same reason as every body else. Because since the invention of the Bungee strap it’s main use has been THOUGHT to be and used to secure or strap items down.
YET if you read the Bungee labels they tell you “Do Not Use To Secure loads”
These are actual bungee labels.
One says Keep away from children yet I can find them in many places being sold for use by children!!!
This is on U.K. websites. Not some 3rd world country that is mocked or denigrated for its lack of care for children.
Let alone these labels giving absolute proof in law that they Breach the Consumer Protection Act of 2015.
Why are they bought, To Secure loads, the labels say categorically, do not do the one thing they are bought for. By MILLIONS.
By god that’s a lot of compensation to pay out to those that have been injured in the last 10 years by these UNSAFE, DANGEROUS, UNFIT FOR PURPOSE ITEMS. Flagrantly sold for a purpose they can’t Safely be used for.
Yep, “sold when unfit” means backdating up to 10 years!

So horrible. #Repost @bbcnews with @repostapp ・・・ 31 JAN: A BBC investigation has found that an elderly American man with dementia, who was found lost in England without any ID, had been intentionally abandoned by his American family. The identity of Roger Curry baffled police and social services for months. BBC Panorama traced his family in the US after a local BBC appeal helped to identify him via Facebook. The BBC discovered that his son had flown him to England before leaving him there. His son denies that he had anything to do with the abandonment of his father.
