Bilbo: When did taking a chance improve your life?
Well I'm not much of a risk-taker, but it was a huge deal when I decided to move away for uni. I wanted to stay in my home but I decided that I needed to move away from the toxic people surrounding me, and I am much much happier now! To be honest I was so terrified but it's something I really needed to do and I've never regretted it for a second.
Aragorn: What is your heritage? Do you embrace or reject it?
I am 100% Cajun, which apparently most people don't know about but makes up a fair part of the population in South Louisiana. Cajuns are descendants of the French and we have a (mostly) thriving culture of food, music, and a distinct language. In fact, all of my grandparents spoke Cajun French as their first language, but because they were punished for speaking it in school they never passed it down to their children, so unfortunately I don't speak the language. Nonetheless, being surrounded by Cajuns and their culture all my life definitely helped to shape me as a person and I am very proud of my heritage!
Celegorm: Have you ever had a pet that impacted your life greatly?
Um I mean kind of but not really? The only pet I've ever had is my cat Kitty who was a birthday present for me 13 years ago. I mean it took me years of begging to finally get a cat and I love her soooososososo much but she hasn't exactly changed my life lmao
Glóin: Are you skilled at something most would consider unusual or esoteric nowadays?
I don't think I'm especially skilled at anything to be honest. I used to be very good at piano, but that's fairly common and I never practice anymore anyway. Normally I would say that I'm really good at obsessively learning everything about literally every aspect of things that I like, but on this website that's pretty common too, and not exactly a skill...¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thanks for the ask! I liked your "Pippin" story by the way, I have some similar experiences, although I can't say I'm exactly eloquent when talking to large groups of people, but I'm getting there. :)
