Nimueh: I don’t understand why you’re mad at me.
Arthur: You killed my mom!
Nimueh: Yeah, but then I said “April fools”
Arthur: Dude!
Nimueh: I got you good!
Arthur: You did!

Nimueh/Ygraine or Mithian/Morgause
Let me tell you about the power of my love for this ladyship. There is nothing on this planet that can convince me that Nimueh did not grieve like a motherfucker over Ygraine’s death. She absolutely had no intention of having her die for the sake of Uther’s son. She did what was asked, and perhaps both Nimueh and Uther thought the life bargained would be each other’s (Uther thought it would be Nimueh’s life or some random person she would sacrifice, and Nimueh believed it would be Uther’s life stolen away).
My headcanon is that Nimueh crushed on her like there was no tomorrow and while unwilling accepted Ygraine’s marriage—they had their life-long friendship and could still share in one common thing together: Magic. I think Nimueh taught Ygraine a couple tricks here and there, nothing too fancy. Something mildly entertaining and Uther of course adored everything Ygraine ever does and loved the magic tricks as well. But when magic stole her away, Uther blamed it and sought to destroy it and the people who practiced it. They get to live but Ygraine doesn’t. It’s unfair to him. But Nimueh blamed Uther for not realizing the consequences of his actions BUT NOT ONLY THAT, she also secretly blamed herself. It should have been obvious. It was going to be Ygraine’s life for Arthur’s. Nimueh hoped to high hell it was Uther’s death, and in truth, magic favors no one.
What if my father’s attitude to magic is wrong?
You really think that?
7. AU in which Nimueh is motivated by revenge against Uther after finding out about Ygraine's death, and seeks to sacrifice someone else to bring her back.
