[ Why Boris like this? ]

His relationship with Bendy is rather strange, don't you think? Of the four we've met so far, he's the most mysterious, quiet, and strange to me.

Let me start by saying that Boris is WAY too obsessed with Bendy. I know that Bendy is very dear to him, like his only family... but if you dig deeper, you can come up with several ramifications: Boris knows who Bendy really is, Boris senses that Bendy might be different, Boris just loves his brother too much.

I will make a "tree with roots" for my analysis, if you really want it, I will show it to you too. (like the second one)

1. If we follow the first path and truly believe that Boris knows who Bendy is, i.e., the Ink Demon, then the road becomes a little cloudy, but a few trees are still visible. Boris must have not only heard from someone that his brother was the Demon, but also seen it for himself. I assume Bendy was in his true form at the moment they first met, but somehow he didn't hurt or kill Boris. Perhaps little Boris witnessed the moment Bendy became the little demon, and maybe someone else was with them that day. I can't say for sure right now: someone helped Bendy and Boris at that moment and asked the wolf to look after Bendy, or Boris stole Bendy from that place and saved him. So Boris's obsession becomes more logical here, why?

The demons in this world are something we can't even begin to imagine. Yes, Bendy is the most beautiful and sweet to us, but we've only seen him. Are the other demons the same? I don't think so. Otherwise, they wouldn't be hidden from everyone else. Furthermore, everyone FEARS and hates demons. I don't think all this is out of nowhere.

Boris saw what Bendy could be like, saw his worst side, but he accepted it, loved it as the most precious thing... but the others? Is there a chance they won't start hunting him and try to kill him? I'm not saying Boris cares about Bendy just because he doesn't want Bendy to kill anyone; he truly loves him very much and would rather die himself than let Bendy die. ( Brutal Boris ?)

What's inside Bendy is dangerous. It's big, scary, and quiet, like the ocean in the dead of night. You're alone, surrounded by the black waters of icy, deep fear. Boris knows when IT might come out, so he tries not to give his brother any reason to wake it up.

Is there a chance that while Bendy was sleeping, Boris could have been talking to Sinny , discussing things, discussing how they both wished Bendy well and wanted to protect him? Bendy doesn't dream, only a loading screen before he wakes up. BUT, perhaps it was just a wall, like a password to enter Bendy's mind, and Astro couldn't get through it

Boris protects his brother from the others, but also protects the others from what hides inside his brother.

2. Dogs have a very good sense of smell , but wolves? It's a thousand times stronger.

It can feel everything that Bendy does, sometimes coming out and speaking on Bendy's behalf, hiding behind fear or despair (Bendy's spiral eyes, the spiral during Bendy's sleep, and the death spiral itself, both in the game and in Bendy's dreams).

Boris doesn't know that it's alive, but he definitely FEELS that it's something living inside his brother like a parasite. And he can't do anything about it. Nothing. That's why he tries to be with him constantly, because you never know when your brother has died and something will take him away from you.

3. Finally, the last branch.

Strong attachments between younger children and older ones are often the result of complex family dynamics, where the child's psychological needs, the particularities of their upbringing, and changes in the family system intertwine. Let's start with the fact that we definitely never met Boris's parents, and, if I'm not mistaken, he was an orphan from an early age.

Attachment itself is normal. But sometimes it can take unhealthy forms:

However, children in groups often interact regularly and deeply: they play together, solve common problems, and support each other. This creates a natural support system.

Boris is an orphan, which leads to the following problems and possible explanations

"Salvation Anchor" (The Phenomenon of the Substitute Object)

For the younger child, the world has collapsed twice (either through the death of their parents or their abandonment). The child's psyche is unable to withstand the emptiness and chaos. In this emptiness, the older child has become an "anchor object . "

The younger child clings to the older child not as a brother, but as a guarantor of their own existence . As long as the older child is nearby, the younger child exists. As soon as the older child disappears from view, for the younger child's psyche, it is tantamount to a second death . Therefore, they are physically unable to let go. Therefore, they prefer physical (?) death to knowing that they are left completely alone in this world, someone who doesn't know who they are, what they feel, what they have lived... as if they don't exist in this world.

• The Elder is the "Parent" : In an orphaned couple, the elder child often takes on the parental role (guardianship, decision-making). For the younger child, physical strength is not as important as psychological stability and the elder's ability to organize life.

• The younger is the "Protector" : The younger uses his physical strength as a tool for service. He guards the older because the older is his "home." His aggression toward others is aimed not at dominance, but at protecting his only resource .

The younger one, like Boris, cannot communicate with others for two reasons:

Their overprotective behavior (like following them around) isn't an expression of love in the traditional sense; it's a manifestation of panicked control . They desperately need to monitor the older child's location to lower their own cortisol (stress hormone) levels.

The Phenomenon of the "Named Family"

The fact that they called each other brothers, rather than being brothers by blood, is crucial.

It's a conscious act of reality creation. In a world where all ties have been severed (the death of their parents), they have created an artificial myth . This myth is their shared wall against the outside world. The younger one believes in this myth fanatically, because if the status of "brother" crumbles, so does his last support. He is obsessed with the older one because the older one is living proof that the younger one has a family .

Why is this dangerous and pathological?

From a normal perspective, this is a symbiosis (fusion), not a relationship. The younger sibling has no distinct self. Their personality is absorbed into the older sibling's.

• He is not developing his social skills.

• His emotional intelligence is tied only to reading the mood of his elders.

• If the older one suddenly wants to separate, the younger one will have a severe psychotic breakdown, since for him it will be tantamount to a physical amputation of a body part.

So, for me, as for the eldest child in the family, it's more like... a parasite? Not in a bad way, if you can call it that, but more like pity for Boris.

Hello, hello, hello my friends! As the description tells, this is a blog for my own rewrite of Bendy and Boris: the Quest for the Ink Machine, utterly and gladly unassociated with Rouge. In a nostalgic mood one day I happened across the fanfic Bendy and Boris in The Inky Mystery as well as the comic Bendy and Boris: Myth of the Machine, and they inspired me.

Without further ado… welcome to Bendy and Boris: Us Against the Machine (or simply UATM). A fanfic coming soon to fanfiction websites near you! (Primarily AO3 but I might post it on other sites if people would like so.)

“Bendy and Boris have been in Inkwell Isle’s local showbiz for a good long while now, struggling-artists types since they were street rat tots with nothing much to lose and everything possible to gain. Of course when you get into a performer’s life so young and homeless, you gotta be careful of creeps and contracts. But the boys never dealt with any of it, too savvy and scared to trust a hand feeding them god knows what from god knows where.

Early in their career, when they finally got offered to do a few gigs in a bar, someone nearby or the bartender must’ve slipped something in Bendy’s mocktail because next thing the twelve year old knew he was outside, coughing up a black substance. He was steady, ink attacks a couple times a month, a little more tired than the average person, a little more weak than a demon was known for, but he was fine. Boris tried finding everything on it, though only whispers from stars about drugs and death and the Casino where most of Inkwell Isle’s crime scene is.

Nothing he could track… until the brothers got offered to do a show at the Casino…”
