day two update !!

wrote 7818 words today total, and the novel is at 10,542 words overall. went a lil crazy between episodes of leverage today lmao. the first chapter goes on forever and it's gonna need hella editing next draft but for now,, my babies are being silly and not kissing.

a lil un-edited snippet from today:

the chattering night air was a stark contrast to the muffled hum of the diner and sebastian sucked a deep breath of cool, venician air into his lungs. caspar bounced along beside him, angel wings crooked at the edges, makeup a little smeared, blue eyes still gleaming under the light of the moon. his energy levels never flagged, hopping over turnstiles and walking along the edges of walls like a child. "how exactly are you planning on getting down from there?" sebastian looked up at the angel, where he was neatly balanced right on the very edge of a wall that went no further. his eyes were just about level with caspar's shoes, making it a good six foot drop back down to the pavement. "those wings are just plastic and lace, you know." caspar dropped so he was sat on the wall, legs dangled over the side, and held his arms out to sebastian. "i don't need wings, i've got you." sebastian felt his heart burst into a hundred different shades of ember inside of his chest. the ashes suffocated his throat and then settled in a cool sheet along the pit of his stomach. he reached up to grab caspar beneath his arms and hurled him back down to the ground.
