             THERE WAS A TIME WHEN JOEL would have hunted someone down to simply take whatever they had . those aren’t fond times to think of and there is no excuse what he’s done other than his grief taking over .  beyond that he’d merely follow someone he thought was out to get him and tess or someone that owed him payment .  now though , times are different . these days they patrol without much on their minds other than supplies and making sure infected don’t come too close to home . strangers passing through would have gotten shot at a past point in his life but as he stands before the other now , the former smuggler sizes him up . he’s still not immediately trusting but now he’s willing to give folks a chance .  ❝  what brings ya all the way out here  ??  don’t see too many strangers out this way these days  ,  unless they got some motives i ain’t gonna quite agree with  . ❞

She swipes her thumb under her nose for a moment as she looks up at the much taller man. “I’m gonna call you... Daddy. ”

Snapping out of his self induced hypnosis was immediate, and after the initial moments of trying to piece everything together once again, regaining memories and the whole plan that was unfolding for a good few months now, he knew that he had to contact only one person. The one person who was well aware of the plan, that was working in the shadows while the Phantom was in the front and centre, working as the Big Boss that the world knew.

But he knew that it wasn’t him, even under his effective hypnosis there were moments that things didn’t make sense, that didn’t seem right. Still, Miller knew now, they all knew, and despite his fake devotion to the Diamond Dogs, there was one man that had his undying loyalty, the man who was sitting right in front of him at that very moment.

“So,”, he said once he finished pacing around, standing right in front of him and the sound of his spurs ceasing. “Where do we go from here?”

  Quiet materialized a few feet behind him, a pistol she’d taken from a man she’d killed was trained right between his eyes. Her own were narrowed - cold, harsh, and unforgiving. Who is he? This was not V. What did he want? Why was he here? One wrong move, and she’d put him down.
