GOOD EVENING, BLUE COLLAR GLEE RPG!

As you can see from the graphic above, the survey to determine the next plot drop theme has been chosen. As of the minute that this post is seen on the dashboard, the information is known to everyone around Lima via a post on the Lima Community Center webpage that Footloose: the Musical will be put into production and co-sponsored by none other than Bryan Ryan -- president of the LCC, and Sandy Ryerson -- theatre enthusiast and proud owner of fifteen toilet-paper roll Tony awards.

When Ren and his mother move from Chicago to a small farming town, Ren is prepared for the adjustment to his new high school. What he isn't prepared for are the local laws - including a ban on dancing - which are the brainchild of a local preacher bent on exercising control over the town's youths. When the Reverend's rebellious daughter sets her heart on Ren, her boyfriend tries to sabotage Ren's reputation and many of the locals are eager to believe the worst about the new kid.  

Auditions for the musical will be held on Saturday, January 14th and will consist of a voice, dance, and acting audition both solo and with partners. Those who are called back to read for specific roles will be asked to stay with the cast list being posted on the front poster board next to the welcome desk of the Lima Community Center. Please bring you own music, character shoes, and a smile.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN OOC?

Footloose: the Musical is a wonderful production that is bursting with roles that could be filled by your characters! However, the production will not only need the cast -- it will need a crew. Therefore, after reading the following positions for cast and crew please send a message into the main account via IM or inbox of which (if any) position your character would like to audition for/apply for. As stated above, the list will be posted on Saturday night and will be created based upon what everyone has sent in as well as a randomizer/an Admin’s decision on what is fitting in voice and in character. If you have a specific request for your character that you would like to see take place, please include that in your message -- such as if you want your character to audition, but not be cast, and/or anything else. Please send in any questions you may have. Get excited, BC!

ATTENTION MEMBERS OF BLUE COLLAR GLEE RPG!

The “soon-to-be critically acclaimed” production of Footloose: The Musical by the Lima Community Center is said to be the greatest performance art that Lima has ever seen according to co-director Brian Ryan. Ryan, a trained performer himself, has even gone as far as to say that the lead performance by Jesse St. James is one made for Broadway by itself and is only added to by the rest of the cast members, “Despite their lesser names and lesser talent,” added co-director Sandy Ryerson.

Could this be everyone’s big chance to gain an eye from visiting producers and talent agents that are said to be coming to some of the performances? Some have already checked ‘yes’ to the RSVPs that were sent out by Jesse St. James himself before the cast list had even been posted!

Catch Footloose: The Musical at the Lima Community Center on March 2nd-March 5th and March 9th-12th! There will be a special preview showing on Wednesday, March 1st for Lima art critics to attend and deliver their reviews before opening weekend. Tickets can be purchased online to secure a seat and donations are encouraged to keep the art community in Lima thriving!

ATTENTION MEMBERS OF BLUE COLLAR GLEE RPG!

As promised, the cast list for Lima Community Center’s production of Footloose: The Musical was put up at the front of the building at 8:00 P.M. EST, after auditions and callbacks were held all day. Rehearsals will begin on Monday, January 23rd with a table read at the LCC at 7:00 P.M.. Rehearsals will then take place Monday-Friday from 7:00-10:00, with some Saturday practices towards Tech week. The performance dates are still to be decided, but will be announced soon.

Congratulations to everyone who was cast! Please note that many roles were decided at random while others were decided for sake of drama/plotting fun -- some of which will be a surprise to many of you and perhaps not so much of one to others. Enjoy the list, and I look forward to seeing what you all can do with this new plot drop!

Good morning, members of Blue Collar!

The New Year’s Eve event for Blue Collar Glee RPG is officially underway! Please be sure to pause all previous dashboard conversations UNLESS they are text messages/private messages that can easily be maneuvered to be used for the event (previous paras/F2Fs are also an exception as long as they are properly backdated!). I apologize for not posting this sooner as my personal life has taken on a busier note as of late and I need to adjust to the scheduling a little bit better. However, we will extend the event for my missteps to be from today, December 31st at 1:00 P.M. EST until Monday, January 2nd at 6:00 P.M. EST! Please be sure to tag all posts for the event with #bcgrpg2017 so that they are easier to keep track of!

The New Year’s Eve Ball is being held at the Lima Community Center’s main ballroom and is a black-tie affair that opens its doors at 8:00 P.M.. The event is catered with plenty of drinks and snacks, and a main dinner will be served around 9:00 P.M., and will include a vegetarian option. A D.J. has been hired for the night and will be taking requests, and the tables for dinner are first-come, first-serve that surround the dance floor. Bryan Ryan has been careful in making sure that everyone in attendance will be carrying into the New Year in style. Throughout the night, Tracy Canterbury may drop by to various people to get statements about the evening, so make sure to be on the look-out in case you want your evening to be Q&A-free! Any questions can be directed to the main page.

this is the sound of settling

WHO  → Kurt & Blaine

WHEN  → October 30th

WHAT → I’m being over zealous when it comes to self paras because I can and I’m sorry and Kurt’s having a shitty time with Blaine and decides not to tell him about the stalker thing. It’s pretty irrelevant.

Kurt desperately wants to tell Blaine.

After the 3am incident, he’s terrified. Maybe it’s a prank, but if so, it’s a really weird, elaborate one, and he’s not sure what’s going to come of it. He and Blaine have rebuilt their relationship on honesty after dumb teenage miscommunication and it feels like they’re misfiring, lately, and if something does happen, he doesn’t want to be the source of an argument. Also, Blaine keeps talking about having to work late, and Kurt doesn’t want to be alone tomorrow when he gets home from work. He thought about working late, too, but it’s been proven that the Piggly Wiggly isn’t safe, either. Nowhere is safe. And what he wants is really simple--a night with his boyfriend, tucked in their locked apartment, safe and sound. This time, he’s not asking for a ring. He doesn’t think it will be a problem.

It’s the second hang-up phone call of the day that kicks his ass into gear. Blaine has spread himself across the living room, working on the piece of music that Kurt can hear him practicing every afternoon, and he treads carefully, tucking himself on his usual end of the couch. Kurt takes a second to take in the domesticity of the moment; the television is on in the background, reflecting in Blaine’s glasses as he works, his boyfriend’s hair sticking up in mismatched curls. Kurt quirks a smile as he watches Blaine think, his fingers tapping a rhythm on his knee. One day, they’ll be married. Kurt wonders if he’ll come to be content enough with the one day. Still, he loves him.

His phone rings again, and he jumps. He silences it, but not fast enough.

Blaine huffs. “I’m trying to work, Kurt.”

And there it is.

Kurt’s not one to sit and take it, which just makes it all worse. “What, I can’t sit in my own fucking living room?”

Blaine turns, and that’s how Kurt knows he has to brace for a fight. To his surprise, it doesn’t come. “Fine.”

Silence falls once more, but it’s less pleasant this time. Kurt has to tell him now if he’s going to tell him at all. He notices, though, the way Blaine’s shoulders tense when Kurt clears his throat, and he knows that there’s no way that the truth won’t result in a fight. Blaine will be pissed that Kurt waited so long to tell him or will accuse him of overreacting or...something. God, Kurt hates it when they aren’t getting along. He changes his mind and gets up.

“Just letting you know that I’m working a long day tomorrow. Ryder needs off for something and I told him I’d cover.”

“Okay. That’s fine.”

He lingers for a moment. “Night, B.”

Blaine sighs. “Night, Kurt.” A pause. “Love you.” No eye contact, but it’s something.

He smiles faintly. “Love you too.”

Well, he may have himself a stalker, but at least he has this, even if it’s strained. He’ll be okay as long as he has this.

the age of paranoia

WHO  → Kurt ft. Blaine 

WHEN  → October 28, 3am.

WHAT → Kurt’s on edge--and for good reason.

“You’re not sleeping.”

Kurt has never slept well; although he’d like to be the kind of person who can sleep until noon on their day off, the truth is that ever since he was a kid, he’s always run on few hours of sleep. Still, by now, Blaine knows the difference between his normal sleep pattern and when there’s something wrong--usually, that’s differentiated by finding Kurt re-organizing or cleaning at 3 in the morning. That’s Kurt’s OCD, of course, but it’s only really bad when there’s something on his mind.

Right now, he’s trying to decide if he wants to organize their DVD collection by genre or alphabetical order or Rotten Tomatoes rating or by what they’re likely to watch before sex vs after sex or--

--anything, because he won’t be able to relax until it’s done and he has work early. 

Kurt jumps, more than he usually would, and Blaine narrows his eyes at him. Kurt hasn’t told him about the photos. Of course he hasn’t. Blaine living with him has been a comfort and he knows Blaine is all about boxing, but this stalker is next level shit and Kurt doesn’t want Blaine to be stressed out, too. Blaine will want him to go to the police or, worse, Blaine will tell Burt. The idea churns Kurt’s stomach.

“I napped earlier. Before you got home.”

Kurt turns his back before he can watch Blaine register the lie, and he starts purposefully placing the DVDs around him so it’s evident that he’s not going to be going to bed anytime soon. Blaine can be irritated all he wants. Kurt isn’t encouraging him to stay up.

There’s been tension between them. Kurt can feel it. It’s happened before, and he doesn’t think it will break them up or anything, because they’re in love. No matter how angry they are at each other, they’ve learned that it’s important to communicate their feelings. But, as all couples would have it, they go through rough patches. Kurt doesn’t understand why there’s not a ring on his finger yet; they’ve talked about their wedding enough that they know it’s going to happen, and for Blaine, a man who’s so dependent on showing affection, to be so resistant to advancing their relationship to that next step that they’ve talked about is...off. And Kurt doesn’t like it. Kurt keeps dropping hints and he can feel Blaine pulling away every time he does, and it’s going to amount to one of those fights that will have Kurt sleeping on Finn’s couch for a few nights. It’s the outcome that Kurt’s uncertain of.

Blaine is spending more time out of the house. Kurt’s got that itch in the back of his head and he’s going to continue to ignore it.

Whatever it is, they’ll get through it.

Plus, he has more pressing matters at the moment. Namely, the stalker. Kurt thought it was just a stupid little prank--why would anyone be following him?--until it continued. Footsteps when he walks to his car at night. Disconnected calls. Not much, but enough. And it could still be a prank, he supposes, but he’s starting to doubt that. He’s starting to get scared.

Kurt knows Blaine is mad by the way he doesn’t say anything before he goes back to bed, and he knows he should feel guilty, but he doesn’t. He wants to be alone. Still, he’s shaken from his previous determination for a moment and has to calm himself down, try and rid himself of the bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. He hears the bedroom light flip off. It’s quiet.

Knock, knock. 

Kurt suddenly regrets turning Blaine away. He jumps, his heart beating furiously in his chest, and he leaps to his feet. 

Knock, knock.

He clears his throat. He should have listened to his dad and got himself a gun. Stupid.

Knock, knock.

The third time it irritates him, and adrenaline courses through Kurt as he swings the door open only to find an empty corridor. He immediately steps out, looks both ways, and turns toward the stairs. He kicks open the stairwell because who the fuck is knocking on his door so late and...there’s no one there.

His heart is still beating extraordinarily fast.

Kurt doesn’t dare let his guard down, returning to his apartment and almost tripping over the parcel in the doorway. “Fuck.” Kurt reaches down, grabs it, and locks the door as soon as he’s inside. He hates the way his hands are shaking as he opens the package. It’s less thick this time, but it’s pictures of him again--and a note. 

“Three days.”
