Have you ever missed a lift and thought "what the hell happened?" "Why did i miss this lift" A big part of lifting is mental. If you go into the presence of the bar and you think "ohh man i don't know if i can do this" then you already lost. What helps me before I attempt a heavy lift is to get mentally prepared before I enter the presence of the bar. Before I go near the bar I clear my mind, remember my ques, and mentally vision myself completing the lift. It may sound funny and even look funny but a good chunk of completing a lift again IS MENTAL and it just helps me to keep a positive mindset. Developing that Mental toughness is key especially the times when you're at a fatigued state and you don't feel like you can finish the workout.
