Kristoff had lived in Benbow for a really long time now, and he didn’t know a single one of his neighbours.
There was a lot of in-and-outing at Benbow, so there was a new set of faces every now and again which admittedly made things difficult. The fact that, until recently, Kristoff had been kind of a hermit, had made things even more difficult. And now, though less shy, he was still painfully awkward... none of which was conducive to meeting the neighbours.
He knew them in the vaguest of terms. The little old lady across the hall, the young family a few doors down. He would nod to them, help them with grocery bags or whatever, but he usually scurried away into his own flat before he could really talk to any of them. He had no idea who was native to the town and who wasn’t, but he was always worried that he would see that knowing look in their eye, followed by surprise, or by pity, but often both. He didn’t want that, so he kept to himself and that way, he didn’t have to see it.
That’s why the knock at the door took him kind of off guard.
It took him a moment to get to it, abandoning the bowl of cereal he was eating despite the fact that breakfast was long over, pausing only to try to peep through the spy hole before he decided to just go ahead and open it.
It was a kid. With a box. An almost comically oversized box at that. “Uh... hi?”

∟Day 27 — Write either a flashback or a flashforward thread with another mun!
@riveraofstorms
Somewhere in Mexico, six-ish years ago
This club was way too rich for Héctor’s blood. He was used to playing dingy little dive bars (and used to drinking in them too), those hole-in-the-wall type places that, even though they should’ve been closed down by the health inspector years ago, still served some good drinks and gave you a good time. Places where the bodies were crammed in and the drinks sloshed all over the place, as people tried to make room to dance, not... this.
A swanky, upper-class kinda joint that was reserved for businessmen and mid-tier cartel figures, where usually someone plunked away at a piano for hours on end whilst people chatted about stock prices and... well, Héctor didn’t even know. He did know that he had been very, very lucky to land this gig, playing soft, bastardized acoustic covers of old banda songs. It was sort of soul destroying, but the pay was good, and hey — he had free access to the bar.
And the bar was exactly where he was going at the end of his set, his guitar case in hand, a spring in his step. He’d just gotten his envelope full of cash and he was very much looking forward to spending it (though honestly, he would save some of it, he wasn’t that irresponsible — he had a dream to fund, here), though he was more than happy to get a little tipple for the road. He propped the case up against the bar and leaned against it himself, smiling at the cantinero behind the bar.
“Tequila, por favor.” He said, just as he felt someone step up beside him, waiting for their turn to order. The barman’s gaze flicked over to them, and then flicked back again, doing a double take so comical it made Héctor turn to look, too, only to be met with potentially the most gorgeous woman he’d ever met.
Once he’d picked his jaw up off the floor, metaphorically of course, he tried to play it cool. “Add whatever the lady’s having to my tab.” He nodded, turning to look at her. “What’s your poison?”

∟Day 3 — Plot an AU with a partner
∟Atlantis/El Dorado AU (you’ll get it my dudes dont worry)
@littlcdvl
Huey hadn’t known what to make of all this.
A journey to find the lost city of Atlantis. A journey to find a city that might not even exist, given that it had been lost for centuries, and even before that it had been little more than a myth. Huey had done the research, he had read the stories, looked at the ancient tablets, any source he could get his hands on. From all his reading, it seemed as though the city of Atlantis had been a story, and nothing else. Why the myth had changed, why the city had become lost in the first place, he had no idea. Maybe there had been too many people stumbling around the forest, getting into trouble trying to find it. Maybe people had gotten tired of the old stories and wanted something new.
They were going to find out either way. They, being him and Lock.
He knew Lock, of course. He knew him, but only just. They were acquaintances, and very little more; if Huey had been asked to pick his own partner for this kind of an expedition, Lock wouldn’t even have been on his radar, not really. And yet here they were, in the middle of the jungle, trusting each other not only to get the job done, but not to get lost or kill the pair of them either.
Huey had the map. It was very old, and it wasn’t at all very detailed, but it was the only source they had. If they had picked the wrong starting point, they were going to get lost. If they misjudged their markers, the large stones, the twisted trees, if they thought they saw them too soon or too late, they were going to get lost. So he was doing his best, but he was at least a little concerned. He pushed his glasses up his nose, and consulted the map again.
“We should be coming up on a small lake,” He remarked, glancing around. The foliage was thick; would they even see it? “Might be more of a lagoon, in fact, but anyway— we need to follow the shore round to the right, and then carry on straight.”
Get together with your employees/coworkers and create a floorplan for your business! You can use any medium you want: the Sims, floorplan programs (here is a good one), or draw it and take a picture! (Or do it in Microsoft paint, w/e). (If you don’t have a business, do your character’s house, make sure to do it with the people you live with!)
ignore measurements we couldn’t get rid of them and this is just the idea of how it all looks
Originally Aurora had set up in the Master bedroom but with her new roommate and Willa, Aurora switched with Ella taking a slightly smaller room but as long as it fit her plants she’s more than okay. Lolly’s got her dog bed in the corner and Aurora’s bed is pressed against the window for sun.
She has a desk in the other side of the room where she keeps a lot of her handmade paper and any sorcery books. She keeps her wand accessible at all times usually on the stand with all those succulents. Hidden behind a few plants is an old picture of her family from the last time she saw them.
Garden
There really isn’t a good picture that could explain what the garden looks like. First off it’s a mix of looking almost overgrown but when you take a look you should be able to appreciate the twists and turns of all the plants. Most of the plants are all something Aurora can use in spells but anything that might be a little more dangerous is located in the back. Along with the garden that Aurora take care of, Ella has a plot for a veggie garden that she is showing Tiana how to garden veggie’s as well.
Aurora spends at least an hour in the garden every day if not more because it’s a large task. All the crops are definitely going to come out well with Aurora looking after them.
Conservatory
This was the main point of the house that got Aurora wanting to live in this house. Attached to the back of the house you can walk out into the conservatory which Aurora had placed most of her plants. There’s a little sitting table that the girls will have tea at. There’s so many windows that you might as well be outside.
Tiana’s Room
Tiana's room is pretty bare right now-- just her bed, a somewhat-messy desk where she does work for the restaurant, and a small closet that she tries to clean out twice a year. Tiana hates clutter, but it tends to accumulate when she gets busy. The shelves over her bed hold pictures of her friends and family as well as her diploma from culinary school and some prints of her culinary icons: Leah Chase, Julia Child, Tanya Holland. She also has a photo of her father on her bedside table next to a plant that Tiana adopted after seeing how much Aurora loves greenery. Her window lets in lots of sunlight and Tiana only turns the light on when it's very dark outside.
Kitchen
The kitchen is small but lively, and Tiana was mostly excited that the appliances were nicer than what she had gotten used to in Benbow. She tries to keep the space tidy, but on days when she cooks more complex meals, the kitchen can get very cluttered. With some help from Aurora and Ella, Tiana has a small herb garden on the window that she draws on from time to time when cooking and natural light comes in through the windows on sunny days. Tiana likes to listen to music when she cooks, so it's not uncommon to come home from work and hear motown or disco blasting from that part of the house.
Ella’s Room
Ella very graciously accepted the room from Aurora when she moved in, which means she has enough room for herself and a nursery nook for Willa. She’s tried to create a space for each of them, with her bed, desk and wardrobe to one side, and Willa’s crib, a comfy chair for story time, her toy chest and other things toward the other side of the room. There isn’t as much foliage in her room as in the rest of the house, but she does still have a few potted plants dotted around the place. She has a lot of books, and her sewing machine is tucked away in the corner, and there’s a little cosy space for the mice if they want to stay inside. Like the others she likes a lot of light in her room, so unless Willa is sleeping she tries to keep the curtains open to catch as much light as possible.
Sitting Room
The sitting room has a modern boho vibe that fits the rest of the house, featuring lots of repurposed furniture, nice soft furnishings, and of course plants. Ella tries to keep it as tidy as possible, but there are quite often toys lying about the place. The sitting room can be really cosy of an evening, and it’s a good space to share for movie nights.

Day 4 — Plot a thread that takes place in one of Swynlake’s businesses with a mun that you don’t currently have a thread with.
@sayboogibbs
Chapter Three was quiet. Like, scarily quiet. Huey was quite sure he could hear a pin drop, if there was a pin to drop, but there wasn’t even that. As far as he was aware, there was only one customer in the book shop, and they were evidently doing their browsing in deathly silence. Huey didn’t mind that, usually. He was only sat behind the counter, reading his book (Hitman Anders And The Meaning Of It All by Jonas Jonasson, for the record), waiting for someone to need help or want to ring something up, but today the silence just felt... wrong.
Huey knew this feeling. He knew the feeling of eyes watching you even when there was no one around, he knew what it was like to feel the temperature of the room drop by a good few degrees. When he and Ariel had been in the forest looking for ghosts, he had felt all those things and more... but that wasn’t it. Or at least, that was what he was telling himself. Because whilst it was probably highly likely that the book shop was haunted (with Mr. Acheron as a boss, Huey could only assume), it had never felt like this before. He had never felt this feeling of dread, settling deep in the pit of his stomach, making him feel nauseous.
After a moment, he carefully replaced his bookmark, and looked around. He couldn’t focus on the words for the feeling, so he was going to have to investigate. There was only one customer in the shop... could it be her?
Huey edged closer to her, looking like he was just checking the shelves, doing book shop employee things, but secretly, he was watching her. She was looking at something. A book, of course, but... not a book he had ever seen. It was big, and thick, and bound in some kind of gnarled looking leather. He would have known if they had that book in stock, but he had never seen it before.

@ariel-the-rebel
Swynlake, 2031
Huey slipped out of the back of the cab, his feet hitting the cobbles, and he took a deep breath.
Swynlake. Once again.
He hadn’t been back here in... well, longer than he’d like to admit. He’d moved away for university and that had been it. A PhD in New York, a fellowship in Sydney, and finally a teaching position a little closer to home, this time in London, and yet he still hadn’t really thought to come home.
Because some distance from Swynlake had shown him just how terrible the place had been. Of course he’d met some wonderful people there, but he really had been risking his life every day he’d been there. Strange dreams that he could still remember down to the small of details, a town meeting that always ended in disaster, and more nights full of chaos than he could count one both hands. It was a miracle he’d survived to make it to university, and another miracle that he’d managed to make it out. Why on earth would he ever want to go back?
And yet, here he was. Because he was hoping that coming back would make the nightmares stop.
Every night for two weeks now he’d had the same dream. He was walking through a forest, and the sun was setting. It was getting darker and darker, and the foliage was becoming thicker and thicker, and there was someone following him. Someone reaching out, about to touch his shoulder, a cold chill on the back of his neck. The words help me whispered so softly they could be mistaken for the wind rustling through the trees.
And usually, then, he woke up. And though it would seem like it could be anything, absolutely nonsense, he knew that forest. He knew it so well, he had no doubt where it was.
Enchantra.
So Huey was back, wearing a backpack that had pretty much everything a human being could need and holding a flashlight, approaching the edge of the forest. But the closer he got to the treeline, the more he realised that, not only was there a person there, but there was a person there that he recognised. A person that he hadn’t seen in a long, long time.
