a little rant i guess
Why do we all want to be “normal”? Why would anyone want to be “normal”? That saying, about how we’re all different, is true.
We all have different hair colours, eye colours, skin tones, heights, weights — and they’re all okay. None of them are better than the other. You know, racism is stupid. We never thought racism was a problem, because it was what we were taught to think. But now we’re finally realising that it’s wrong, and just plain stupid. It’s just like saying someone with blue eyes is better than someone with blue eyes, because blue eyes are more familiar and considered “normal”. Is sounds stupid, right? Saying all black people are thugs is no different than saying everyone with blonde hair is dumb. They’re all myths, and we’ve started to realise that.
But why do we all want to be this “normal”? What is normal? Is it a white girl, with a slim body, huge assets and blonde hair? Is it that bitchy popular girl in school? Why do we all want to be her? Usually, people want to be like her to be liked. But, really, we’re not being liked; the person we pretend to be is being liked. I still struggle with this myself, so I need to practise what I preach, but we’ll only ever truly be liked if we be ourselves. Don’t hide yourself. Don’t pretend to be someone you’re not, just because you’re afraid others won’t like you. Don’t be afraid to have your skin colour, your hair colour, your eye colour, your gender, your personality. Be yourself, be who you feel you are. It doesn’t matter what others think, just as long as you’re not harming anyone and you’re not breaking the rules (rules that are there for safety, like committing theft or murder).
And, if you haven’t discovered yourself yet, if you don’t know how to be yourself, it’s okay, you’re not the only one out there. You’ll find out soon. Try things, experiment, and you’ll find what works for you. This applies to anything: style, gender, hobbies, etc. Just don’t let anyone tell you who to be, because they don’t control you. They are not you, you are you.
You can do what you love, and you can be who you want to be, just as long as it isn’t dangerous and harmful to anyone else.
Stop internalizing sexism.
Reject objectification.
What makes me sad is that people get attached and the other person takes advantage. ~ Using your kindness to their advantage, manipulating you. ~ You can't expect people to have the same intentions as you, that's why you trust no one.

Do you have a dream in your mind? One that you know is possible. A dream that you know is hard, one that will challenge you and bring you to the very end of your rope? Following your dream will cause you some hardship, you will doubt yourself, question why everything is pushing you down, don’t give up the rough times will come any go, face your rejections head on. Being great isn’t something that…
