Nobody ever traversed this end of the beach; it was a perfect area to wander for some time alone, and on any other day, Rose would have gotten her wish to be by herself.. but not today. Instead, a very familiar figure stood by the shore, and Rose’s breath caught, her eyes widening. She had.. never expected to see this Pearl again, and her feet slowly carried herself forward, towards the glint of her old life. 

“What are you doing here?”

For a moment.. just a moment, she forgot she was Rose Quartz, staring down at Iris with the eyes of  Diamond.

“My my, my old Pearl has returned, how exciting.”  Her words were delivered in a drone-like tone.  But her voice was calm and.. rather eerie.  “But as exciting as it is, I don’t require your services anymore if that’s why you’re here.”
