Join me this Saturday September 12th from 12:30-1:30pm at Beach Pilates for Karma Yoga Flow - a FREE class for my community! At the center of Yoga Philosophy, the universal spiritual concept of being responsible for the fruits of your labour - reaping what you sow – is the law of Karma. Karma is the future consequences of our current intentions, thoughts, behaviors and actions. Everything we do is Karma. What we think or do plants a seed for a similar thought or result to grow - deep inside our Karma is the result. Some may even call this the Law of Attraction - everything that is done, will eventually come back to us in some similar form. Even though the Karma we currently create are the seeds that create future karmic events, our Karma is not our fate. We have the ability to consciously choose how we respond to Karmic generated events as they present themselves. Reacting positively with no attachment to the result of our actions, to a Karmic generated event will reduce the current impact of our Karma and reduce or eliminate future Karma. Through the practice of yoga, the goal is to become detached from the results of your good karma - just do good things and think good thoughts without looking for praise, a pat on the back or a reward. As well, to stop planting bad karma seeds (negative and harmful thoughts and actions) to further Karmic accumulation.
