Repost!! "* FRONT SPLITS ROUTINE* . . For those of you like me, for whom front splits is your nemesis! Here is a old tutorial that is really a 20 minute video condensed to one minute for Instagram. . Enjoy! . . . First Slide: . . 👉Low Lunge to Half Hanuman x 3-5 rounds . . *In Low Lunge lift lower belly, tuck hips forward and keep your belly lifted. . . Second Slide: . . 👉Runners Lunge pressing the toenail side of your back foot into the mat. This gives a deep stretch to the front of the hip on the back leg. . . 👉Low Lunge grab back foot . 👉Low Lunge Twist w/back foot grab . . . Third Slide: . . 👉Splits on blocks *Use as many blocks/pillows as you need to get your pelvis upright and stacked over your pelvis. . 👉Splits on blocks - square hips and twist - think of trying to squeeze your inner thighs together. Find lift in belly. . . 👉Forward Fold in Splits . A little delicious rest/hamstrings stretch after staying lifted. . . Fourth Slide: . . 👉Crippled Crab (I have no idea why it has this name, but my teacher always called it this...😂) . . 👉Pigeon Push-ups (they look strange, but they work great!) . . . Fifth Slide: . . 👉Pyramid Pose Variation with back knee bent.
