Though times may feel dark around us in the world we live we need to remember that we are in the light and we are the light.

Mathew 5:14-16  “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others,that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

We shine our light so that we may glorify the father but not everyone loves the light we shine with.

John 3:19 "And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil."

We walk in the light so that we can have fellowship with God because in him is no darkness and we cannot walk with him if we are in the darkness.

But we also walk in the light so that we may lead the way by exemple for those around us and that they might walk in the light as well.

2 Corinthians 5:20 "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.

Acts 26:18 "To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me."
