Dan Hong's Crisp Eggplant with Fish-Fragrant Sauce (Vegan)
Bought two Taiyaki Ice Cream Uji Matcha and one Taiyaki Ice Cream Vanilla from Chateraise. The vanilla one comes with adzuki bean paste while the green tea one has a layer of brown sugar syrup flavoured bean paste instead. Both flavours are equally yummy other than the fish (waffle) not being crispy. But I am not complaining, as these frozen confection cost a wallet friendly S$1.80 each.

I'm losing my mind over these rice cakes with bean paste flowers

THERE’S BEEN A MURDER!
Generally I struggle to actually eat food this cute, but seeing the smile on my husband’s face when he brought these home, I made an exception. Both the inside and outside are made of different types of bean paste, so you can sculpt in more detail than with mochi. It also means it’s not quite so delicious, but still very tasty indeed.
The bear’s red bean paste filling is strawberry flavored and the penguin’s white bean paste filling is custard flavored. Both flavors were surprisingly realistic, but I think I preferred custard. While I appreciate the engineering that went into the strawberry bean paste, it’s hard to beat a regular strawberry? Whereas if you can make a lower-dairy custard out of beans, then I can eat custard waaay more often.
