Cubfang & Wolfang, Beast-type creatatures that live in dens deep within temperate & colder Forest areas. They hunt in packs and are extremely dangerous, so getting too close to their habitats is a bad idea. That said, if you are able to catch one, they are lifelong companion material!

Cubfang: While high energy and playful, one must beware of this creatature's incredibly strong bite. Wolfang: Wolfang can take down prey much stronger than itself by working together in packs. They can even hunt humans with deadly efficiency.

I consider Cubfang & Wolfang to be the poster of the "den" system - in addition to just spawning throughout the overworld, some Creatatures spawn more frequently in - or even exlusively at - little mini-structures throughout the Overworld called "dens". These dens are distinct for different species that call them home: for example, in forests you may also come across a Messigeon nest, which will contain higher-leveled Packigeon and even fully grown Coureagle, which can be both dangerous and rewarding as you get stronger creatatures with better stats.

In this case, Wolfang are not very common far away from a Wolfang Den, which is sort of a little cave structure. They will chase you away from the den and even further, but inside you can find Cubfang for you to catch, and some valuable loot, that they may have taken off the last explorer they found...

Name: Piezorine Name Etymology: Portmanteau of Piezoelectric Effect ( the ability of certain materials to generate an electric charge in response to applied mechanical stress) and Wolverine. Classification: Wolverine Pokemon Type: Frenzy/Electric Evolution Method: Evolves from Wolverash with a Thunderstone Flavour Text: It loves to torture it's prey before devouring them. It sparks them and dances around teasing them before their demise. It has a natural rivalry with Melemantle

I wish whoever designed DnD animals knew more about or did more justice to animals.

Cats - notorious nighttime predators with excellent low light vision that only requires one sixth of the light that humans require to see - don’t have Darkvision, but rats, who have poor eyesight and can’t actually see in the dark, do. Probably because they’re sensitive to bright light? But they use a combo of other senses that are mechanically more similar to Blindsight, which they do not have.

Ravens don’t get Flyby? When they make it their business to annoy and attack bigger, badder animals (including flying birds of prey) and then swoop or twist their way out of there without getting hurt?

Reef sharks get Pack Tactics. That makes sense. They don’t cooperate in hunting or share food like a pack, but they do travel and hunt in mass interspecies groups for opportunistic purposes, so it works. But killer whales (orcas) - literally called the wolves of the sea because they hunt intelligently in packs - don’t have Pack Tactics. Like... these guys have such advanced group hunting maneuvers they might as well be Battle Master Fighters. It’s their most important, real-life “combat” feature!!!

There are more that don’t do justice within the context of the game mechanics, but these were the ones I had at the top of my head.

Name: Aereon Name Origin: Portmanteau of Aether and Eon Classification: Bright Light Pokemon Type: Light Evolution Method: Evolves from a Eevee exposed to a Dawn Stone Ability: Serene Grace Flavour Text: It's a pokemon that's really active during the day. The glowing orb between it's ears and the halo on it's tail can appear and glow at will. It dislikes fighting and is more prone to using Flash and running away from confrontation. If needed, it will fight by blinding opponents and striking them down whilst they can't see.

Name: Baseon Name Origin: Portmanteau of Basic and Eon Classification: Basic Pokemon Type: Normal Evolution Method: Evolves from an Eevee holding the Silk Scarf Ability: Adaptability/Run Away Flavour Text: This Pokemon was thought to be the one and only evolution for Eevee until others were discovered in different environments. It's rather proud of it's long silky fur and doesn't like it getting dirty.

Eon Burst Normal Physical 100 BP / 100 Acc / 10 PP A dangerous full-body ramming attack. This also damages the user a little.

Name: Brawleon Name Origin: Portmanteau of Brawl and Eon Classification: Fisticuff Pokemon Type: Fighting Evolution Method: Evolves from an Eevee holding the Black Belt Ability: Guts Flavour Text: Put 'em up! Put 'em up! Brawleon wants to fight and won't take no for an answer. It doesn't greet you by using it's cry and coming up to you leisurely, oh no! Prepare to be greeted by this Pokemon rearing up on it's hind legs and punching the air with its forepaws. It's actually very skilled at fighting on two legs and can even use punching attacks with it's forepaws. But that isn't to saw a Double Kick from Brawleon won't hurt all the same!

Name: Chroneon Name Origin: Portmanteau of Chronos (the personification of time) and Eon Classification: Time Pokemon Type: Time Evolution Method: Evolves from an Eevee holding the Pocket Watch Ability: Quick Start (The Pokemon gets to attack twice on its first turn) Flavour Text: Ask Chroneon the time and the arrows on it's neck will point to the exact minute and hour it currently is. It's very popular amongst those who aren't morning people, able to wake them up at the exact time every day. It's more accurate than most clocks.

Eon Burst Time Special 100 BP / 100 Acc / 10 PP An extreme energy blast attack. This also damages the user a little.

Name: Contameon Name Origin: Portmanteau of Contaminate and Eon Classification: Sting Pokemon Type: Poison Evolution Method: Evolves from an Eevee that is leveled up whilst poisoned Ability: Poison Touch Flavour Text: Avoid Contameon as much as possible. This Pokemon is easily set off; it tends to act first and ask questions later. An encounter with Contameon is most likely to end up with you mildly poisoned from the horn on it's head. As long as you don't get stung with the large stinger on its tail count yourself lucky.

Name: Emaneon Name Etymology: Portmanteau of Emanation and Eon Classification: Hero Pokemon Type: Aura Evolution Method: Evolves from an Eevee that levelled up holding the Knight's Shield Ability: Zen (Powers up Aura type moves when the Pokemon's HP is low) Flavour Text: A noble Pokemon to a fault. When it senses danger, with it's horn and whiskers, it jumps into action immediately to defend those in trouble. It has a tendency to be a bit too hasty, however, trying to defend those who can defend themselves.

Name: Eraleon Name Origin: Portmanteau of Feral and Eon Classification: Feral Pokemon Type: Beast Evolution Method: Evolves from an Eevee holding a Bear's Fang Ability: Moxie Flavour Text: The Eevee evolution that's hardest to train and the most unpredictable. Eraleons are fierce, savage Pokemon who don't back down from a fight. Those that evolve from Eevee are a bit easier, thus many Trainers choose to go that route. However some brave Trainers will still try to catch wild ones, soon becoming overwhelmed with this Pokemon's unpredictability.

Name: Terribull Name Etymology: Derived from a misspelling of Terrible to match Snubull and Granbull Classification: Ferocious Fairy Pokemon Type: Fairy/Frenzy Evolution Method: Evolves from Granbull starting at Level 46 whilst knowing a Frenzy type move  Flavour Text: It’s lower jaw has become more heavy, leading it to walk on all fours. It can rear up on it’s hind legs however, just like an Ursaring. It has a more vicious demeanour-- it likes to chase and bite down on smaller Pokemon.

Name: Applin (Civiscian Forme) Name Origin: Portmanteau of Apple and Inside Classification: Apple Core Pokemon Type: Dragon/Steel Evolution Method: Evolves into Appladon when exposed to a Golden Apple Ability: Guts/Bulletproof Flavour Text: Much more gutsy than their Galarian counterpart, Civiscian Applin have no problem using Rollout to crash into enemies and blow them away. At least, that would be the case if it wasn't so small and weak. They really are apt to bite off more than they can chew.

Name: Appladon Name Origin: Portmanteau of Apple and Ladon (The name of the dragon that guards Hera's garden of Golden Apples in Greek Mythology) Classification: Golden Apple Pokemon Type: Dragon/Steel Evolution Method: Evolves from Applin when exposed to a Golden Apple Ability: Guts/Bulletproof Flavour Text: There are rumours that if you get a piece of an Appladon's apple, you'll have good luck for the rest of your life. That is just a myth, yet many try. It's nigh impossible seeing as Appladon's apple is as hard as steel. It's also very protective of its makeshift apple home and will not hesitate to Apple Roll anyone who it deems greedy. Apple Roll 80 BP/ 100 Acc/ 10 PP Physical Steel Appladon's signature move. It tucks itself into its apple and rolls toward the opponent at high speeds. This move also lowers the Attack stat of the opponent.

Name: Appladon (Critical Birst) Name Origin: Portmanteau of Apple and Ladon (The name of the dragon that guards Hera's garden of Golden Apples in Greek Mythology) Classification: Golden Apple Pokemon Type: Dragon/Steel/Frenzy Evolution Method: Critically Bursts from an Appladon that's holding the Applance Ability: Iron Barbs Flavour Text: Even more ferocious than their base form, Appladon are a force to be reckoned with. Do not approach this pokemon trying to take a piece of it's apple or it will cost you. People usually refer to these daredevils as stupid and that may true considering the stakes. Just be prepared to get toppled by this Pokemon's Burst move. Appledozer Steel Physical 170 BP / 80 Acc / 5 PP Appladon's Burst Move. This move turns Appladon's Apple Roll into Appledozer, a move that barrages into the opposing Pokemon. It also lowers the opponent's Attack and Sp. Attack stats. (As I mentioned above, this Fakemon line is based of Ladon and the myth of the golden apples. Ladon is the dragon that guards Hera's garden of golden apples and is said to have 100 heads. I am obviously not drawing 100 heads so I figured 3 would suffice, thus connecting this line to another mythological creature: the Hydra)
