Emilia Vilo @ Paparazzi MUAH & flowers by Hanna Vähäpassi
Hi everyone,
I don’t know if anyone else noticed but I haven’t done a foundation review in ages so I decided why not do one today and as luck would have it Benefit very kindly timed their new foundation releases perfectly!! Today we are going to be looking at the Hello Happy Flawless Brightening Foundation and the Hello Happy Velvet Powder Foundation. Now by now we know that I’m pale AF! so in both products I’m shade 1 but let’s take a closer look at the products .........
Starting off the with Hello Happy Foundation, Benefit did something really smart with this foundation launch they decided to bring out two versions one is full size and one is mini. I loved this idea because sometimes you’ll buy a full bottle of Foundation and then when you finally wear it you don’t like it and you’re stuck with a bottle but this way you have the option to buy a smaller size and try it out before buying a big bottle. Now the mini size is £13.00 and then full size is £26.00 which for highend foundations is to be expected. This foundation is described as medium coverage that is buildable to full coverage and has SPF15. Now this foundation is meant to brighten your skin, even your complexion and still feel light, I’m so happy to say that this is exactly that case. The foundation feels so lightweight but the coverage is brilliant, it really lives your skin and makes your face feel so much fresher and lighter. I’ve been wearing this foundation without concealer because the coverage is so buildable that you almost don’t need it. The finish on this product is semi matte I would say which is what is advertised anyway so no surprises there. But if you’re looking for extra coverage and a mattifying finish you’ll love the next product.
It’s the Hello Happy Powder Foundation!!!!! Now if I’m being honest I normally hate Powder foundations because I never get the colour right or it just looks awful on. But saying that I FINALLY FOUND A COLOUR MATCHHHHH!!!! ...... I’m really excited about this. Buying this powder was a bit of a gamble because it cost £26.00 and unfortunately didn’t have a mini available like the foundation but after reading reviews I wanted to give it a try for myself and I’m so glad I did. When you use this powder by itself I would say it has a medium matte really lightweight finish which is perfect when you have days where you don’t want to wear a lot of product. I also use this as a powder to put over the main foundation for extra coverage which has really worked when you’re trying to keep your foundation set for longer.
As I’m sure you can all tell I love these products and it’s the first time I’ve tried a Benefit foundation at all let alone liquid and powder formulas. Whether you decide to get one product or both I think these products will be my holy grail to get me through hot London days.
Lots of love
