Ranga Canada Trip Headcannons That I Wrote At 2AM

So IMAGINE  Langa and his mom fly back to Canada (I hc them being from BC) for Christmas to see family and Langa brings Reki with him

They go sight seeing and Langa just stares at Reki the whole time cuz he's so EXCITED and looks ADORABLE

They also hold hands the whole time because Reki "forgot" gloves

(He left them behind on purpose so they could hold hands but genuinly regrets it cuz poor baby was not prepared for windchill)

They'd go on a Timmies date and split a 40 pack of timbits because Reki decided he NEEDS to try every. Single. Flavor.

Langa would OBVIOUSLY go take Reki snowboarding and Reki would be super hyped to try it until they actually get to the hills

(He's just scared of his feet being attached to the board)

So they spend a good hour on the bunnyhill surrounded by tiny children who are, honestly, getting the hang of it faster than Reki

(Reki will not confirm or deny that he is failing on purpose so Langa holds his hands on the way down)

They try going down the beginner hill together and Reki does really well... until he has to stop

(Balancing on a skateboard and a snowboard is v different when stopping sue him he's trying his best)

After wiping out on a few more runs Reki decides he's d o n e and lets Langa go down the hill with the ramps and rails a few times

Reki watches from the bottom as Langa (totaly doesn't) show off as best he can (since he hasn't done it in a minute) and Reki is in AWE cuz THAT'S HIS BOYFRIEND!!!!!

When Langa comes back down Reki is practically frozen to a bench because the poor baby isn't used to negative temperatures :(

(Average winter temp in Okinawa is a LOW of 16°C/14°C and in parts of BC it's anywhere from -5° to -12° on the hills)

Reki feels bad cuz since he's cold Langa wants to leave instead of going down the hills more, but that's because Langa feels bad that his boyfriend is turning into a red Mr. Freeze Jumbo Freezie on him

But it's fine cuz when they get to the car they turn up the heat and cuddle in the back seat till Reki can feel his toes again

Reki tries to convince Langa his hands are still cold when they very much aren't because Langa was holding them and rubbing them and blowing on them and kissing his knuckles and skjsjsjsjs s o f t

They go out for BeaverTails and at first Reki is HORRIFIED until they get there and he finds out it's sweet fried pastry goodness and not an actual beaver

Reki gets the Triple Trip and Langa gets the Poutail because he's that cursed motherfucker (if ANYONE would go to BeaverTails and get the Poutail it's Langa)

(Triple Trip is chocolate hazlenut butter, peanut butter and Reeses Pieces, Poutail is a poutine ontop of a BeaverTail... absolutely fucking c u r s e d)

Reki, halfway done his BeaverTail: I bet I can fit this whole thing in my mouth

Langa: no don't-

It's already in his mouth. It's too much BeaverTail. He almost dies.

That is the first and LAST time Langa takes Reki to BeaverTails (a fat lie because Reki whips out the puppy eyes and makes Langa PROMISE they will go again)

Tbh the rest of their time in BC is just the usual holiday shenanagins with family n shit

Reki adorably trying really hard to speak english with Langa's family with his thick accent and hessocute Langa is GONE for this boy

Once Reki finds out what the Canadian version of Boxing Day is he INSISTS they go out shopping even though Langa know's they'll spend 5 hours just trying to park

(America has Black Friday, Canada has Boxing Day. It's hell.)

Reki regrets it once he sees how packed the mall parking lot it so they do a Tims run and drive around screaming to shitty jpop songs until they get low on gas

That's all, I got I just wanted to throw this out there. I might write this out as a fic but probably not cuz college is a thing that exists.
