One of the things I considered for my "do more bookish events" goal for 2026 was another book club - love me some regularly scheduled social activities! Admittedly, one book club is already stressful enough, but my local library has a monthly themed Bring Your Own Book club, which sounds both neat *and* doable.

EXCEPT. Apparently they meet at a restaurant, which is a whole level of social anxiety hell all on it's own, but from some snooping it seems a bit $$. Like buying a brand new hardcover kind of $$. Which I might be willing to spend occasionally with like, friends, but just feels entirely antithetical to a *library book club.*

(I don't think I'm looking for advice, I just kind of wanted to moan in disappointment)

i see... quite a bit of metadede fics where mk gets TLC, and i love that, but here's a thought.

dedede tries to be the mostly positive and fun-loving king, but after the events of forgotten land, he's... not ok. mind-controlled once again, and put kirby and his own waddle dees in danger without even knowing it? he'd feel like an absolute failure of a king, not being able to protect his own subjects

he looks relaxed and aloof postgame, but he's probably really torn up inside. he says he's ok, but mk doesn't believe it one bit.

Thanks everyone for such kind responses. Things have been hectic lately. My sister got to go home at about three in the morning the next day and told to self isolate and if it gets worse, go to the hospital immediately. I meant to update you all sooner but I wanted more information first. Since I don't live with them and haven't been around them since shortly before it all started in my area, I am fine. But I also work at a daycare with their emergency license and I am still working with kids whose parents are directly involved with covid patients and that is kind of scary. Luckily for me, our cook quit so I got her position which means, being in the kitchen I get the least amount of contact with anyone at work. I will keep everyone updated on what is happening with my dad and my sister when I finally know more. Thanks guys. Also I will try to post more quotes. Since tumblr updated, all of the quotes in my drafts got messed up and I need to redo them on my computer before posting. Thanks for sticking with this blog I appreciate all of you guys!

I have some pretty severe problems with my mental and physical health, which makes me technically disabled. It is incredibly difficult for me to have a job, and therefore I’m very low on money.
