yknow what would be funny and/or painful? if when wwx blindfolds jc it turns out the fabric of blindfold was kinda thin actually so he could see enough to be like "wait a minute what the fuck is happening". or if the blindfold got loose and he saw what was abt to happen and be like "why does baoshan sanren look like wen qing"
It would be extremely on brand for all of these people to concoct an elaborate deception scheme to do noncon invasive surgery from a place of love and caring and then lie about it a whole bunch but they DID give Wen Qing a fancy (and fashionable) hat to further obscure their features. That being said Jiang Cheng waking up alone on the mountain and knowing something isn’t right, a terrible suspicion taking root inside of him when he tries to use Zidian and it works, going down the mountain in fear and dread instead of joy and relief- and he still can’t find his brother.
