When Smashmouth said "My world's on fire, how 'bout yours?" I felt that.
Sam and his kidssssss
Uuuuuh yeah so current designs for Sam, Rebecca, and Winnie in the Imaginary Friends AU shhh. (CC and I were talking about how like... I mean Rebs is 15 now so ofc Sam would look different too and we were thinking maybe they like get their hair dyed together at some point and stuff we're just having fun with it :3)
uuuh context context
Anyway I love them :3
I'm the anon that sent that ask about live action Korra. I heard the first showrunner had wanted to do a live action Kyoshi after NATLA if NATLA's numbers worked out (and they would need to go back and re-negotiate with Paramount to get the rights). That article I sent tho was from the new showunner since the first one dropped out so who knows if he has the same plans as the first. Btw, it seems like every Korra fix-it yt video or write-up suggests Equalist!Asami so I could actually see Netflix go that route if they ever do actually do a live action. Big if tho.
Yeah, they're still at NATLA Book 2, so discussions about potential projects after are quite far off. There will be a whole negotiation with both Netflix and Paramount, so I wouldn't take any statements about what they wanna do or not do as that ultimate.
As for Equalist!Asami. If someone comes with this as a "I could fix her story", they're directly in the trenches with me. Don't ruin my girl's story!!! Don't take away her femme fatale subversion, don't make "a woman looking evil IS evil and here to steal your man for predatory reasons" boring outcome of the love triangle. Don't make Mako look pitiful because evil Asami ran him over. Don't take away her gay ass subtext, "oh enemies to lovers Korrasami would still be gay", no shut up, she's not only horny & gay as hell, she's a rly horny gay sweetheart and it's sooo important, don't make her predatory to Korra.
Most importantly, don't take away Asami's tragedy of losing everything and rebuilding her life again. Don't take away her initial naivety and sheltered innocence. Don't reduce her moment of confronting her own father.
I have some problems with how lok handled Asami's character at certain points in the series, but literally, I have 0 problems with her core storyline and mostly all of the writing for her in Book 1 is really good.
Y'all think good writing is just Booktok tropes, "they're a main character" so the character has everything at the forefront for "character psychology analysis" (which is often mostly headcanons anyway imo) or that they're morally complex so good story!!!, when a complex storyline is not only when blorbo does bad, it can already be just unpacking someone's choices and emotions against expectations. It is already a good storyline Asami had in Book 1.
tbh i used to be really scared about posting about my Problematic Faves™️ online and to an extent i still am but like. maybe there was a tether that i got to the end of at some point but i now find that i just. Do Not Care as much. like... yes i love this fictional character who did awful things to this/these other fictional character/s. no i do not agree with or condone these actions. yes i like the character anyway. the world keeps turning and the sun keeps coming up 🤷♂️
What if @official-tam-cam is just like... no one. Like not even a main person in the kotlc fandom just someone who has been silently observing, read the books 3 years ago and thought "yeah I have to get in on this meme" and now is in too deep. Guys we'll never figure out who they are because it's not even a kotlc person just someone who hopped over from like the maurauders or riordanverse or something who's been fooling us all
thinks forever and ever about how Caroline was a bad person who did bad things out of love before eventually becoming GLaDOS and being a bad person who did bad things but for Herself this time. and then eventually doing one (1) good thing out of love.
and how that one good deed will never make up for any of Her past actions, and She is in Hell (Aperture) forever. but She did, one time, do something kind. it will haunt Her forever and She will never know peace about it. but She did do it.
