I love playful Beckett. This is her way of being like "I hope you still notice my assets after all this time." It's just so offhanded and adorable. I kind of feel like this is some sort of a role reversal between the two of them. <3

I find this hard to believe. I get that S1 Beckett didn't really go out, but she has an expensive, fancy dress available for every other occasion after this and she has a really nice wardrobe and expensive for someone on a cop's salary.
I do love this scene. The fact that Castle already knows her size and her taste to some level just proves how much he notices
