Annon-Guy: Regarding Bedman?...
Why choose to name it Bedman? instead of Bedframe...? Does it mean Romeo's soul is inside the bedframe.
The bio states it has no personality other than to protect Delilah. Yet, it has a death wish in it's arcade Mode (and stops trying to get itself killed in the Stage 9 Ending when Delilah asks it too) and is kind of affectionate toward Delilah in it's round win (giving Delilah a place to nap) and it's victory animation.
Would you say Bedman? is similar to Minerva in regards to then protecting their charges (Delilah and Celica)? Knowing Celica, she'd try to make sure Delilah gets enough sleep considering Delilad likes to stay up late 😆.
The name is probably tentative in the sense that no one is really certain (in story) if the Bedframe is actually Bedman (Romeo) or not. Regardless it is something of a memento from Delilah’s Brother.
And it’s less that it is Romeo’s soul and more a “copy” of his Soul that exists in the Bedframe. This is very similar to how Eddie was born from Zato’s Soul as a Shadow Parasite born from his body after the Forbidden Ritual was completed. The difference is that unlike the original Romeo, this copy only has a limited memory and mental faculties. In that sense it does not cease to attack once it perceives a threat, even itself, even at the risk of destroying itself. Bedman himself was never so reckless with his power unless put in a corner by Ariels like he was.
Minerva had a higher memory capacity and multiple extra functions besides protecting Celica, even acting as a limiter to her powers to an extent. Minerva also had a basic standard of self preservation, but that was overridden when she was given the mission to destroy Nine’s 11th Nox Nyctores Requiem.
As for sleeping habits, Delilah is trying to improve, though that has more to do with Baiken and Anji than the Bedframe itself. It being a bed does facilitate sleeping more often, however.
And, I imagine her brother’s taste in buckwheat pillows probably rubbed off on her.
