A bunch of builds in the Bedrock Strait neighborhood that I've uploaded to The Gallery!

This definitely isn't meant to be a 'neighborhood renovation' but I've been building a lot of contemporary buildings here just to offset the of traditional/historical builds I've been doing for the save file. 🤗

The Nookstone and Sandtrap Flat are entirely basegame-only builds! I use wayyyy too many packs in most of my builds all the time, so its always fun to take on the challenge of doing the exact opposite of that. 😅

There is also this very early version of the Sandtrap Flat that I started building below that I didn't end up going with but thought it was fun!

If you attempt the Brutalist Shell feel free to tag me! The shell has been sitting in my library for a while and thought it might be fun to release it to the wild! 🚧

The O.S.M.O.C.A. was originally going to be another shell, so there isn't much inside of it in terms of furniture (especially since it's just a big-empty contemporary art museum), so also feel free to do whatever with that build as well if the museum isn't your style! I think it'd make a great residential lot in another life! 🏡

Working on a small piece of lore for a Sim I made lately. Nothing too deep, just in need for a creative outlet for my vision of him and what his Sim life would be.

Random TS4 annoyance for today: being a Club Leader doesn't get saved when you save your Sim to the Library. So when I post that Sim later on, whoever feels like following my idea will have to set up the club manually anyway. It would be a nice to get a townie from the gallery with a club of someone else's idea and have it organically grow in your save and make community lots alive. Well. Manual it is.

I had so much fun building, and for these lots, I was inspired by a couple of brazilian exposed blocks homes I found on Pinterest (I’ll link each inspiration to its respective build below!)

Since this neighborhood is basically all sand and surrounded by water, I made sure to fill each building with fountains and plenty of plants – especially harvestable trees, which are a must for me! I think they add a bit more realism to the game (and even though gardening in the game can be a pain, I just love it).

With all the game updates over the last few months, I took the opportunity to clean up my mods folder and tried building these lots with minimal CC. For the main structures, I’ve only added CC windows and doors, so they’re mostly unfurnished for now, but I’ll eventually post updates on these houses! All of them have the Eco Lot trait and the Reduce and Recycle challenge.

The residents of my version of Bedrock Strait in Oasis Springs!

"Residents of this delightfully kitschy neighborhood take pride in their billboards and lawn gnomes. And who wouldn't love getting to say hello to Barry the Brontosaurus every morning?"

Living in a van at Sandtrap Flat trying to make it as a comedian after being disowned by the Landgraabs, Johnny Zest.

Brandy Broke wanted a change of scenery after the drama and trauma of Pleasantview, so the Broke family moved to a mobile home at Pebble Burrow right after unborn baby broke, named Skip Jr. after his father, was born. Dustin Broke has already got himself involved in crime and mischief, while Brandy attempts to raise Beau Broke in what she hopes to be a happier environment.

Still having big trouble getting that artist dream off the ground, Darren Dreamer has fallen into debt and had to sell the house in Pleasantview. buying the smallest mobile home in the neighborhood at Agave Abode. Out of shame he sleeps in the storage room and gave the only bedroom to his soon-to-be young adult son, Dirk Dreamer who dreams of a much different life from his father.

Ousted from the FutureSim Labs Institute for his radical dislike for aliens and advocating for a stronger focus on rocket science and servos, mad scientist Dr. F has set up a rival lab a short distance away at Slipshod Mesquite, just close enough to spy with a not-so-subtle scanner or three. While most scientists stayed with FutureSim, Dr. F managed to recruit ambitious robot scientist Alexa Lexington, as well as a janitor/astronaut/maintenance guy called Vic Vector to his cause. The lab also has two servos, Dr. F's first prototype, a slightly paranoid tree-loving one who is called Proto-Makoto, as well as the second prototype, a hot-headed chef-bot called T.O.B.O.R.

Got the Basement Treasures kit as a little treat and shabby-fied my version of Johnny Zest’s trailer.

Think it turned out pretty well. :)

Dry Pine Ranch 

Sims can enjoy cozy family living in this cute adobe ranch that has space for gardening and other outdoor activities. I’ve included a starter version of this lot which comes to under §20k.
