Favourite Transformers Prime and Robots in Disguise 2015 Ships

Since they're part of the same continuity, I decided to group the TFP and RID ships together. Again would recommend reading my original response as I think that explains why I like some of these ships.

Knockout x Breakdown 

I have been a massive KOBD shipper since I was a kid! They are my like original Transformers OTP! I love the little moments we see between them in the show, like Breakdown always deferring to Knockout or their little inside jokes! Still sad they killed Breakdown off! Especially since he was supposed to have switched sides! As it would have been interesting to see the conflict between Breakdown's desire to do what he believes is right vs Knockout's need for survival above all else vs the feelings they both have for each other! 

I think that Breakdown worries that a rough around the edged bruiser isn't enough for someone as smart and beautiful as Knockout. Whilst Knockout knows that Breakdown is a better person than him, but can admit to himself that he is selfish enough to stay with him anyway. 

I think I straight up cried when I learnt that they were retroactively made canon in tfp! And that they are now canon across like five different continuities now! And we've just seen them again in Skybound! I am so happy for kid me and for these two idiots! 

Arcee x Bumblebee 

I was a massive fan of this ship as a kid! And I do think the show had moments allulluding to it! Especially in the first season with scenes like Bumblebee carrying Arcee or just one look from his face being enough for Arcee not to kill Starsceam. I know Arcee did get shipping moments with like every character in that show but I think she had the most intional ones with Bee!

You can understand why Bumblebee would fall for the older, cooler, highly competant badass that is Arcee! Whilst after everything Arcee has been through, she is drawn to Bumblebee's playfulness, his caring nature and his youthful optimism. 

However, after Arcee losing not one, but two partners, you can completely understand why after going through the trauma of losing the love of your life twice, that sh can't allow yourself to potentially go through it again, especially out of the fear that she could somehow curse Bumblebee to sharing her previous partners' fate. And knowing what she has been through, Bumblebee would never be selfish enough to ask her out, not wanting to cause her anymore worry or pain. So they're both stuck in a mutually pining circle until the war ends.

Whilst they will always hold a special place in my heart, I'm not as into them now as I was when I was a kid. I still enjoy their close relationship whether that be romantic, platonic or familial. I am pro Arcee being romantically interested in women! (I personally headcanon her as trans and bisexual). I also enjoy the idea of Bumblebee being aroace. 

Bulkhead x Wheeljack

I like how when we are first introduced to Wheeljack in tfp, Arcee calls him Bulkhead's boyfriend and Bulkhead doesn't even try to deny it! And Bulkhead even says to Wheeljack later on that he's doing this because he loves him! I like their shared history as Wrecker's! They both have similar interests in wrecking things! And they've both been through a lot together and can understand each other! ! As well as games like lobbing! Also I love them as Miko's fun gay dads! 

Sideswipe x Strongarm

In case you couldn't already tell I am a big tfp fan! So when I heard they were making a sequel series I was so excited! Ultimately RID2015 is not what I personally wanted from a tfp sequel so I have only seen the first season which I did enjoy! 

And in particular I really liked Sideswipe and Strongarm's dynamic! They're both products of growing up in a post war cybertron, where Strongarm has fully emerged herself in the more militaristic culture she's been raised in whilst Sideswipe rebels against it. The fact that they first meet with Strongarm handcuffing Sideswipe is hilarious! At first Strongarm thinks Sideswipe is a punk whereas he thinks she is a stick in the mud goody-two shoes. I enjoy seeing them trust each other as the series goes on and comes to both learn from each other as Sideswipe learns to take responsibility and Strongarm learns to think more outside the box and that not every situation is black and white. 

If you want a good introduction to their dynamic watch the first three episodes of RID 2015 which you can do so here, here and here. And I like that they had a similar dynamic in IDW 2019! I hope we see them both interacting again!

In TFP: Cliffjumper and Tailgate are in Bee's head, kinda like in the episode, out of his head, but with 2 bots. Cliffjumper got inside Bee's mind because that is what the dark energon did to Cliff (Kinda like what happened with Megatron and Unicron in Predacons Rising). Tailgate got in Bee's head because, well IDK, I'm still coming up with a reason lol. Anyways, Cliffjumper's thoughts and decisions are corrupted and turned evil by the dark energon (that's powerful stuff), and he can control Bee's mind, so Cliff is always making Bee do bad stuffs like breaking Ratchet's tools. (Cue an "I NEEDED THAT!!!!!!"). Because Cliff is the devil on Bee's shoulder, Tailgate is the angel. He is always convincing Bee too do nice stuff. Cliff is more powerful though. In my au, Cliff and Arcee where dating. So, when Bee starts dating Arcee, Cliff gets really mad and makes Bee kill Arcee (yandere much?), and it drives Bee insane so he needs therapy 😬. Anyways, When Bee finally gets the help he needs, the dark Energon wears off and Cliff regrets everything he's done. he commits(TW WARNING!)⚠su!cide. (END OF WARNING). He somehow still goes to the allspark after all he's done and finds Arcee and she forgives him for some reason and all the dead transformers all have a party in the Allspark, even grumpy Primus. THE END! OR IS IT? HOW ABOUT TAILGATE!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and Bee, Cliff, and Tailgate are all siblings.

Cliff is the oldest (C-127), then Bee, (B-127), then Tailgate (T-127).
