Literally anything john said bad about Sherlock, even something little and insignificant that he didn't mean, Sherlock would remember it and think about it a lot and one day john would say something like "sometimes it's like you're not even human" and Sherlock would just lower his head down and whisper I know and john wouldnt realize what he'd done before it's too late

also y'all are not writing my brand of angst yours is all too overwrought like the actual worst is them growing apart but never wanting to acknowledge it so they end up living together but not together and they never talk and they both remember how it used to be but they know that it's not like that but they just can't make themselves leave each other but sometimes they wonder if being alone would be better than living with the constant reminder that they're just not in love anymore
