I'd like to know what y'all think young Larissa Weems was like.
Personally, I think she was similar to younger Sansa Stark from GoT but less mean and more into Jane Eyre than romanticizing about kings. Hot-headed but doesn't want to cause a scene or trouble. Wants to stay in line but doesn't fit the mold. Wants to make her family proud and be something she's not.
Headcanon that she gained confidence only later on as she became Morticia's friend.
Morticia would have seen the awkward british girl and think, "Huh. She's interesting. I think i'll keep her around."
Larissa wouldn't be a snob or anything. Just terrified of snakes and maybe rats.
A little fanfic I originally wrote back in 2023 with a self-inserted oc, but I felt I needed to update it.☕️ Also, apologies for any grammatical mistakes🙏

Years before the events of Wednesday. Larissa's and Morticia’s youth and years at Nevermore Academy.
It was 1989, before Morticia and Gomez had started dating, but their friendship was already solid. The group was tight-knit: Morticia Frump, Gomez Addams, Larissa Weems, and Harriet Quinzelle, a wild and daring and, for the most part 'act-before-thinking' student. Morticia, always graceful and composed, and Larissa, ever the cautious one, usually kept out of trouble. But for some reason, Larissa stuck around, even as Gomez and Harriet constantly dragged them into mischievous schemes. Maybe Morticia’s calm presence balanced things out. Or maybe Larissa secretly enjoyed the chaos more than she dared to let on.
That day, the four of them had snuck off campus, venturing far from the safety of Nevermore, driven by a thirst for adventure. Hidden behind a row of trees, they crouched near a rusty old bus. Ahead of them stood an old log cabin in a decent state with flacking red paint covering it. The yard was occupied by a group of men who—just from their appearance and mannerism—evidently despised outcasts like them. Back then, causing trouble outside of Nevermore was dangerous. If an outcast made a scene, there was a real chance they'd be seeked out and eradicated.
“Guys,” Harriet whispered, crouching low and pulling out a pair of homemade smoke bombs, which she had crafted with Gomez—A mischievous grin spread across her face. “Wanna fuck around a bit?”
Morticia arched an eyebrow, her sharp gaze moving from the smoke bombs to Harriet. "Harriet, what are you plotting this time?" she asked, her voice a mix of concern and curiosity. Gomez, ever the charmer, stepped forward with a grin that matched Harriet's. "Oh, come on, Morticia. Where's the fun without a little trouble?" His carefree attitude was infectious, always managing to loosen the group’s caution.
Morticia sighed, though a smile tugged at the corners of her lips. "I do like a little trouble, as long as i'm not involved in it. I wouldn't want to get in trouble with Headmister Rossmount."
"If that is even possible for you." Larissa commented, her voice laced with mild amusement and urgency to leave this place. "To be frank—Every time we've gotten in trouble because of these two," Larissa pointed at Harriet and Gomez. "You've miraculously slipped out of each situation without an ounce of concern."
Morticia smirked with a trace of glee shining under her long lashes. "Rissa, don't blame me for knowing when to step away."
Meanwhile, Harriet, undeterred, began inching closer to the yard, getting ready to launch her plan. Larissa, attempting to be the voice of reason, rolled her eyes. "Seriously, Harriet? Are you trying to get us all expelled? Or worse, killed?" She looked to Morticia and Gomez, hoping one of them would put a stop to the madness.
Gomez only chuckled and draped an arm over Larissa’s shoulder. "Come on, Weems. Live a little. Where's your sense of adventure?"
Morticia’s eyes sparkled with the thrill of the moment. "Exactly. Besides, a little adventure never hurt anyone... except maybe those men in the yard."
Larissa let out a long, exasperated sigh, realizing there was no way to talk sense into them. With her voice lowered, Larissa muttered to herself, "How do I always end up tangled-up in your mess?"
With a smirk, Harriet tossed the smoke bombs into the yard. In an instant, the sound of popping and cracking filled the air, and thick clouds of smoke billowed up around the men. Chaos erupted as they leaped to their feet, shouting and stumbling through the haze, realizing they’d been pranked by outcasts. As while Larissa was trying to reason with Morticia and Gomez about getting in trouble, the men had already noticed them and were charging at them with shotguns at hand.
"Oh, shit!" Harriet laughed, watching the confusion unfold. "Guys, that's our cue." And before three of them had time to properly register what was going on, Harriet sprinted past them.
The men were on their feet, charging toward them with angry yells. Without a second thought, the group took off running, their laughter echoing through the forest, all but Larissa's who had chosen to wear a pair of her brand new Mary Jane pumps for this outing. Morticia couldn’t help but let out a cackle as the adrenaline surged through her. "How treacherous. They don't seem quite forgiving."
Gomez looked back, flashing a grin at Larissa. "Oh, come on, Weems. Don’t pretend you’re not secretly loving this!"
Larissa, lagging behind in her heels, shot him a glare as she panted for breath. "I hate you... all of you!"
Harriet laughed as the men, furious, started throwing rocks at them while some aimed at the group with their shotguns, barely missing. Morticia dodged them with her usual elegance, weaving through the projectiles with ease. "Less talking, more running!" she called out, her voice a mix of amusement and urgency.
Gomez, still running effortlessly, glanced at Larissa with a teasing smile. "Come on, Weems, keep up. You're quite radiant in distress."
As the rocks and bullets kept flying and the angry shouts grew louder behind them, the group ran faster, adrenaline fueling their every step.
Morticia rolled her eyes at Gomez's incessant flirting, her voice sharp despite the adrenaline pumping through her veins. "Focus on running, Gomez, not on trying to impress Larissa."
Larissa’s face flushed, though it was hard to tell whether it was from the effort of running in heels or from Gomez’s words. She shot another glare at him but kept her pace steady, determination etched across her face. "Just shut up and run!"
Harriet, still running, glanced back at the group of men rapidly closing the gap between them. "Guys, I think they're catching up!"
Gomez looked over his shoulder, his usually carefree expression replaced with genuine concern. "You're right, they're on our tail! We need to lose them."
His eyes scanned their surroundings, searching for an escape route, something—anything—that could give them an edge. Then, he had an idea. "Alright, everyone split up in different directions! It'll make it harder for them to find us all." His voice was ragged from exertion, but he was still in control.
The group quickly scattered. Harriet veered left with Morticia, while Gomez sprinted off to the right with Larissa, heading toward the town. In a flash, Harriet extended her hands and grew long, olive green ivy vines that slowed down the men tailing them.
Morticia glanced over at Harriet with her hands extended outward, her eyes narrowing in satisfaction. She adjusted her pace, skirts swirling around her as she ran to keep up. "Well, that's certainly one way to make things easier," she huffed, a smile tugging at her lips.
Harriet grinned, her feet pushed her over her limits, matching Morticia's speed, though not quite as elegantly with her shorter stature. Harriet and Morticia were both fast runners, having been participating in the school's running fest twice.
Despite the afternoon ambience in the coniferous forest, the situation they had gotten into thanks to Harriet's trouble-yearning habits—even Morticia felt worry.
Meanwhile, Gomez and Larissa had made it into town. Gomez, ever the nimble one, scrambled up the side of a building and perched on the rooftop with a dazzling view of the bustling market square, scanning the area below for signs of their pursuers. Larissa, using her shapeshifting abilities, morphed into the form of a passerby, cautiously moving among the shadows, blending into the quiet town like a ghost.
As the group of men charged into the town, they ran right past Larissa without a second glance. She waited until they were out of sight before shapeshifting back into herself. Gomez caught her eye from his rooftop perch and flashed her an enthusiastic thumbs-up, a wide grin spreading across his face.
Larissa returned the nod, grateful for Gomez’s quick thinking. She crouched low, listening as the men’s footsteps grew fainter, their voices carried away by the wind. The danger was slowly passing.
With a light jump, Gomez landed beside her, the impact barely making a sound. "Impressive work, Weems. Truly a work for the ages."
Larissa dusted herself off, her cheeks flushing slightly at the compliment. "Well, someone had to keep a level head while you and the others were running around like fools," she retorted, though the faintest hint of a smile played at the corner of her lips.
Gomez chuckled, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Oh, I don’t know, Larissa. I feel you might enjoy a good dose of adrenaline like the rest of us."
She rolled her eyes but didn’t argue, an annoyed smirk creeping onto her face. "Shut it, Addams. Let’s just find the others before this gets any worse."
Gomez nodded, his eyes darting around the streets nervously. "Right, we should check on Morticia and Harriet. Hopefully, they've managed to evade those head-shrinkers as glamorously as we did."
Larissa fell into step beside him, her heels clicking softly against the cobblestones. "Lead the way. But let's try not to cause any more trouble this time, yeah?" The famous last words.
Just then, one of the men who had been chasing them spotted the pair and sprinted in their direction. Without missing a beat, already exasperated, Larissa slipped off her black designer heels and, with deadly accuracy, hurled them at the man’s head. The first heel struck the man with a resounding thud, and before he could recover, the second one followed, hitting its target perfectly. The man stumbled and crashed to the ground, momentarily disoriented.
In that brief moment of confusion, Gomez grabbed Larissa's hand, pulling her toward a narrow alley. They darted down the passage, the man’s angry shouts echoing behind them as they finally managed to slip out of sight, as the man ran past them blindly, having one of Larissa's heels hanging onto the strap of his bag.
Gomez couldn’t help but glance up at Larissa, impressed. "Nice aim, Weems. Remind me never to get on your bad side."
Larissa sighed, adjusting the lace collar of her white button-down, making sure it's still neatly tucked in her navy green, knee length skirt. "You're already on that list. Besides, I have my moments. Now let's focus on finding Morticia and the ginger dwarf who got us into this mess, shall we? I have a few chosen words for Harriet." She said, exasperated and now at a loss for having been lost of new heels.
Gomez nodded, his smile lingering as he turned down another alley, eyes scanning for any sign of Morticia or Harriet.
"I'm merely angry at Harriet for causing this. If I get in trouble with Headmister Rossmount, I need to be able to strangle Harriet." She said, brushing a strand of white hair from her face. "Now, the question is, how do we get to them without getting targeted at ourselves?"
Gomez’s lips curved into a mischievous grin, his eyes gleaming with a familiar, reckless glint as he glazed at a vehicle nearby. "Looks like we've gotta go old school."
Larissa’s eyebrows shot up as she crossed her arms. "You want to steal a car?" Her tone was disbelieving, but there was a resigned edge to it. "I didn't realize grand theft auto was on our list of crimes today."
"Oh, come on, Weems," Gomez said, shrugging nonchalantly. "You brits don't seem to have any sense of adventure. Besides, you wouldn't want to run barefoot, would you?"
Larissa stood there for a moment, her moral compass and instincts clashing with her desire to keep up with Gomez’s antics. If her parents found out—they would ground her till she'd be 60 years old. Even so, the thought of having to run around the town barefoot mortified Larissa more than any what-if concerning her parents ever could. "Fine. But i'm not sitting on the front." Larissa stated, climbing over the car door onto the backseat of a blue 70s cabriolet.
Gomez flashed her a triumphant grin as he began working on the car, his fingers deftly handling the mechanics of the ignition. "I’d expect nothing less."
----
Harriet and Morticia had run out of the forest, running down a long countryside road at the edge of the forest line. The wind whipped past them, and for a brief moment, they thought they had escaped. But just as that flicker of hope surfaced, a massive red truck pulled onto the road ahead of them, aiming at the two girls with shotguns.
Morticia’s eyes widened, and her face faltered. "Harriet, watch out!" Her voice was low and tense, her usual composure shaken by the sight of the truck barreling towards them.
"Shit!" Harriet snarled as she veered sharply, barely dodging the flying bullet. The truck roared after them, its tires kicking up dirt as the men inside readied their shotguns, speeding towards them in the distance
As fast as both of the girls were, they had begun to run out of breath. Morticia glanced back over her shoulder. "They're dreadfully persistent."
*BEEB BEEB*
Gomez drove onto the road, speeding past the red truck, with Larissa sitting on the backseat, petrified, holding onto to dear life. "You ladies need a ride?" Gomez yelled with a wide grin on his face. Morticia’s eyes light up as Harriet was already running closer to the car. Harriet jumped over the passenger seat door onto the seat, trying to not fall off while doing so. Larissa opened the door next to her, gesturing Morticia to get in. As all four were inside the car, Gomez pushed down the accelerator, speeding away in a flash.
"I feel like they’re running out of bullets!" Harriet yelled, amused as she had glanced back.
Larissa risked a glance behind them, her chest tight with fear. "Let’s hope you’re right," she murmured, her voice shaking slightly, yet when she glanced, another shot rang out, startling Larissa as she winced. But in the distance, she could see high rocks looming closer, a beacon of safety amid the chaos. She prayed silently that the rocks would give them the cover they desperately needed.
Yet, without a warning Gomez turned the car around and drove off the road, into the fields, the car stomping on mud and grass. It seemed as Larissa's heart was about to go to a cardiac arrest, as she clung onto her seat, eyes closed in fear. Morticia wasn't doing much better, holding tightly onto her seatbelt while glancing back at the red engine tailing them—now miraculously slowing down. The engine had gotten stuck in the mud and grass, which Harriet had grown higher.
They were finally getting away. After driving through the fields and forest, they made it back to the country road.
Harriet, sitting on the passanger seat beside Gomez, was laughing as she brushed herself off. "I seriously thought that was the death of us!" She grinned, her eyes sparkling with adrenaline. "And yet we still cheated out death! We gotta go again!"
"AGAIN?" Larissa had yelled in disbelief, horrified with the thought. Morticia couldn't help but laugh along, shaking her head in disbelief. "You're insane, Harriet." Her smile lingered, though, as the thrill of the moment still raced through her veins. "But I have to admit, it was a rush. A thrill I haven't felt in a while. And won't need to experience for the next decade." She gave Harriet a knowing look.
Larissa crossed her arms with annoyance but there was relief in her eyes. "Looks like you two pulled off another miracle," she said, scanning Morticia for any signs of injury. "But let's never do that again."
Morticia dusted off her black velvet mini-dress with a laced cocktail hem, still a bit shaken but her spirits noticeably lifted. "Yes, we made it in one piece—though the landing could’ve been a little smoother," she said, shooting a playful look at Gomez, before turning to Harriet. "You, on the other hand, seem unfazed by the whole ordeal. I swear, you have a death wish."
"This is amazing!" Harriet laughed with triumphant in her voice, extending her arms toward sky. "Where did you even find a car?" she asked, eyeing Gomez with a smirk.
Gomez leaned back, keeping his eyes on the road with the picture of cool confidence. "Oh, you know," he shrugged, "I have my ways. A little hotwiring here, a little pickpocketing there. It’s all in a day's work for a man of my talents."
Morticia was rolling her eyes at his smug demeanor. "I bet Fester does it better." she teased.
Gomez winked in the rearview mirror. "You wound me, Tish. By the time Fester learned pickpocketing, I mastered Sabre Mazurka."
Larissa, who was sitting in the backseat next to Morticia, couldn't resist but roll her eyes at Gomez's remark in exasperation. "I can't believe i'm surrounded by a bunch of lawbreakers." Gomez grins, his gaze fixated on the road ahead. "Oh, don't worry, Weems. I have every intention of returning the car in one piece. Well, mostly."
"You see, now THAT'S the part that worries me."
Gomez adds a sime wink, clearly enjoying toying with her uptight demeanor. Harriet looked at the back seat, glancing down confused. "Larissa are you missing your shoes?" She asked giggling. Larissa let out a small huff, her cheeks flushing slightly at her question. She had temporarily forgotten about her missing heels in the chaos of the goose chase. Gomez cracks up a smirk.
"Ugh... Yes, I... had to improvise a little back there." She mumbled, her voice a bit filled with annoyance. Gomez, catching sight of the missing shoes in the rearview mirror, laughs heartily. "Ah, yes, your tactical use of high heels was quite impressive back there, Weems. I believe you had some 'well chosen words' for Harriet." Larissa sends him a sharp glare, her irritation at losing her heels evident.
"Chosen words?" Harriet questions. Larissa shakes her head. "In any case, they were expensive, alright. And now they're God knows where, lost to some random man in the middle of Jericho."
Morticia muses, angling her body towards Larissa as the car speeds down the countryside road. "Rissa, you have plenty of other heels."
"But these were NEW. And mother's going to kill me if she finds out I lost them."
"Then you won't tell her." Morticia said as if it was the most normal thing in the world.
As the car sped down the road, the adrenaline from their narrow escape still thrumming in their veins, Harriet curiously searched through the glovepocket. "Does the owner of this car listen to any good music? If not I might just go back and have another go with those guys." Harriet said with a wide grin on her face, more to get another rise out of Larissa than really mean it.
All Larissa could do is slam her forehead against the headrest of the passenger seat in front of her.
Morticia laughed, shaking her head in disbelief. "You sure have an interesting way of having fun."
"Maybe next time we sneak out we should plan it out a bit more, though. I'm not keen on getting chased around again, especially if it's a longer run," Morticia added, her playful tone belying the real concern beneath her words.
The wind whipped past them, Morticia's hair gracefully floating behind her, as Larissa fights all her smallest hairstrands trying to get them off her face, slightly envyos of Morticia's natural grace. Harriet looked through the cds the owner had in his car—finally finding something. "KORN! Let's go!!" She exclaimed and without a hesitation put the cd into the player.
Larissa not too much of a fan of heavy music, groaned lightly. "Why couldn't it be Madonna or Sher?"
Morticia smirking, turned to Larissa. "It's not that bad."
Larissa had never seen the appeal in such vulgar language is music.
The song Freak on a Leash started playing, Gomez lightly moshing his head in the beat and lipsyncing the lyrics with Harriet. Larissa recoiled slightly by the grim lyrics.
As the song went on, Harriet picked out two pairs of sunglasses from the glovepocket, putting a pair on herself and handing the other one to Gomez. "You two look ridiculous." Larissa commented with a snigger betraying in the corners of her mouth.
The beat dropped moving onto the breakdown. "Go!" Gomez yelled. "Boom-da-da-mmm-dum-na-ee-ma. Da-boom-da-da-mmm-dum-na-ee-ma. Da-boom-da-da-mmm-dum-na-ee-ma. Da-boom-da-da-mmm-dum-na-ee-ma!" Harriet shifted between growls, mumbled sounds, and percussive noises with incredible speed, like a drum made out of voice, sounding like a little boy who had yet to go through puperty.
"HELL YEAH!" Gomez cheered, shifting with the beat. "Eyes on the road, Addams!" Larissa called out with a hint of urgency in her voice, but couldn't help but crack a smile to Harriet's 'singing'.
Morticia mused and chuckled amused by their antics. For hours, they drove around boosting music and laughing. By the time they arrived back at the school, the familiar building, it was well past midnight. As they piled out of the car, Morticia stretched her limbs, still feeling the echoes of the adrenaline-fueled chase. "Well, that was quite an ordeal," she remarked, a note of relief coloring her voice.
"Seriously, Harriet, you're a walking adrenaline junkie. Next, you'll be skydiving or something," Larissa said, crossing her arms in exasperation while walking towards the school gate with a 5'1ft racoon walking beside her tall frame.
"Hmmm," Harriet pondered, considering it as a serious option.
With their playful banter continuing, they snuck back inside the school through a window, excitement still buzzing in the air. But just as they thought they had escaped unnoticed, they were instantly caught by their headmister, Rossmount.
"What do you think you’re doing?" He demanded, his stern expression making it clear that they had been caught red-handed. The thrill of adventure quickly faded as they faced the inevitable consequences of their antics.
