Battle of the Bands: Debunked
Because fabricated proofs help no one.
Theory:
Louis & Harry, met before the x factor, because they both competed at the battle of the bands.
Proofs:

Probably False
Now I can't technically proof that this didn't happen, but the proofs for it don't hold a lot of water.
The sign photo
Claim:
Taken at the battle of the bands where both bands competed
What we know:
This photo is not even taken in the UK. It is taken at the BB&T Pavilion, located in New Jersey, USA.
We also know that the boys did play there on the 28. May, 2012.
Conclusion:
This leaves 2 options:
1. The photo is completely fake
2. The photo is real, but taken in 2012, and the signs were brought by fans who knew about Louis' & Harry's previous bands.
Date & place
Claim:
24th March 2009, unknown
What we know:
I could only find the location and date of Harry's competition, his school in Holmes Chapel.
I could not find the source of this exact screenshot, but there are multiple other sources placing the event at the school.
There are also videos of their performance, as well as proof that the event still happens there as of 2014
Conclusion:
Harry's competition was held on the 30th of June, 2009 at Holmes Chapel. Not the 24th of March.
Louis' is unknown to me, could he and his band have gone 2 hours out of their way? Maybe?
Were there maybe rounds, and they met at different place for some kind of 'finals'? Not that I can find.
The tweets
Neither are still up. Always the same profile picture, so it is almost definitely the same photo getting shared multiple times. The date doesn't match Harry's competition, it in fact doesn't seem to match any competition. The are around the text looks grainy and edited. There isn't any way to prove they were never tweeted, but there is also no proof that they were.
