Tips for Beginner Writers

1 - Make a chapter out line as you go, so if you need any sort of information about what's happened in the book, you don't have to scroll through each and every paragraph you wrote.

2 - Your first draft is not Your published book, you're gonna have to revise it and edit it a lot over the while, so Let it Suck. It'll turn into a second, third draft, and published book in the end.

3 - What matters is that you wrote, not how much you wrote. Try to set a daily number of words for you to write, that way you get consistency and it gives you a routine to follow.

4 - Remember that many books have been written, many with the same premise, but by different people. If you worry that your idea is too average or too oversaturated remember this:

5 - Don't make scenes too long, dont detail what you don't need to. If your character is going to develop via an event, detail it where needed, don't detail every little thing because it makes the scene unnecessarily long.

Tips for Beginner Writers:

Just for you to know, I am not a professional writer or have been writing for a decade or something, so maybe not all of these are too accurate. These are just some tips that would help a beginner writer to avoid common mistakes when writing a book.

~First, Try to keep it original

I understand that one story can be influenced or inspired by another movie or story, but creating an exact photocopy of them is not good.

Like for example, maybe you want to create a book related to a place where kids are taught magic and it is inspired by the "Harry Potter" series, it is not bad but, then adding the same plot or the same sort of characteristics of Harry Potter would not make the reader too interested. Add something special, something unexpected that keeps the reader at the edge of their seats, it could be the weirdest idea or a random idea you got hitted by in the shower. Just remember, keep the chains of your imagination limitless.

~Second, Know what you are writing

Don't make any silly mistakes, like forgetting an extra character's existence. The reader may get confused and wonder where it went. Keep the plot clear yet intriguing, make them hooked but not confused, this will keep the readers on track and make them create their own theories on what could happen next.

~Third, Don't be scared to share

Maybe you are writing a story but, you are scared they might not like it or it is too cringy. But remember, if you show it to the right people who not only care about you deeply but also have a creative mind as well then you will not get hate comments but helpful advices. It could be your book-worm friend or your very trustable teacher or just a random person on internet, who are always reading random Wattpad stories and are free to give any advice or changes that would help your story to improve.

And yeah.. I guess that is pretty much all that I think one must keep in a mind, while writing a story and Remember to keep your weird imagination limitless, I might add some more points in future, if I get any but for now, this much it is.

Character Creation Tips

1 - If you can't think of character names for side or main characters, but you have many ideas on what to write for them, just put in the meaning of their name or something to know who the character is in brackets like this:

[MC #4] Or [The goofy MC]

2 - If you can't visualize your character like me, go to art breeder, where you can create a look for them easily.

3 - Try to make your main characters unique in a way. Like their hair, accents, eye colour, something noticeable to make the different from side characters.

4 - Give them flaws. Nobody likes a perfect character. Make them make mistakes. A flaw can be something as small as something seen as an imperfection, such as bulging eyes, or dry and flaky skin, or something as big as selfishness that may cost them the story.

5 - Give them something relatable. Give a character from a different country the trouble of learning the language. Give a character mental issues, or insecurities. Something readers can relate to. It makes your characters more likeable.

6 - Characters are people. Give them Likes and Dislikes, give them the detail you'd find in a human.

POV Tips

Hot tip:

If you're trying to write multiple POV's, try reading a book with multiple POV's to see how its done. I recommend the following book; Artemis Fowl. It's an eight book, three book series, very nicely written. And Heroes of Olymus.
