You’re interested in calligraphy and handlettering, you’ve pinned a few things and followed a few Instagram lettering artists… but it’s all overwhelming and you don’t know where to start.

so I bought a calligraphy pen today and have been trying to figure out what to write so I can practice with it.
most of my practice pages won’t be devoted to tarot cards, but hey, I just wanted something to try and write besides my name.
I’m gonna print out some practice sheets to do forms on, too
alanatriescalligraphy Begins!
I have grown up watching my mother do amazing art with calligraphy, the walls of my parents house is covered with the Australian calligrapher Dave Wood (http://davewood.com.au/gallery). At a trip to Katoomba and Leura a few months ago i made a definite decision to finally begin calligraphy. It has been really fun, trips with mum to eckersleys (after finding out wills quills has closed down and is now only online :( ) and for christmas a beautiful wooden pen holder for nibs. I’ll be posting Calligraphy that intrests me and calligraphy that i have done. Which at the moment is quite bad as I’ve only just begun.
