Boooo my contribution to this dumb Ben drowned fandom,,,….. I should’ve put this effort into something else but I didn’t SIGH!!!.
Alt vvv
Also I present to you my BEN relationship headcanons since it’s valentibesday :::: .
-I feel like they’d send unhinged love letter-esque emails messages with ramblings. They’d also do this before an established relationship.
-They “love” you because you amuse them and they think you are fun to mess with. Why else would they stick around???😭
-They’d definitely make you leave all your friends because they don’t like them idk. I can’t see them liking the idea that you’re close to other people that will tell you that they are bad news obviously hdhcjdj.
-They like to get on your nerves and make you upset and annoyed; they think it’s funny.
-Talks down to you probably.
-I feel like the most affectionate things they’d do would be : hugs, hand holding, maybe small kisses but nothing crazy. Mostly hand holding and dragging you around. Being intimate isn’t on their mind imo.
-You’d probably get along with some souls in the hivemind while others would absolutely despise you. There’s no way EVERYONE in the hivemind is happy to be with you.
-Obsessive yeah
-Their version of a date would probably be them just sitting around with you, playing a game, or watching you have dinner at your dining table. I feel like they would be the “I’m not doing all that, I have better things to do” type when it comes to a relationship.
-Tells you random stories that may or may not be related to the moonchildren cult duh LOL.
-Jumps out of the TV to beat you to death.(/j /ref)
(End of headcankns)
Selfship stuffs……. Old and new yeah. They are my current favorite as of right now. I love this ugly ass character so much idk why,,. I would like to keep my serious fandom posts on my blog to a minimum. Please don’t expect anything ,,,, . Throwsc up
What would Ben be like if, I don't know, we had a congenital disability, and how would he react when we had difficulty doing things or communicating?
I saw people asking questions and wanted to join in, sorry 😿
Don't apologize, I got you! 🫡😊 💖
BEN x CleftPalate!Reader (cleft lip can be interpreted)
Warnings: social anxiety, panic attacks, nausea, unhealthy relationships, speaking difficulties, hurt comfort, BEN being BEN
⋅──⊱𐙚⊰───⋅
Your eyes held their ground against the sun cascading an unavoidable light in your room, urging you to get a move on. The urgency of being late felt distant. The air needed to hyperventilate was blocked off by a thick, suffocating dread.
Nothing changes, not even you.
You got up with a slog. Occasionally, you'd pause while getting ready to pick up minuscule pieces of trash or rearranging a few items that really had nothing wrong with their placement. All to push away your daily obligations farther than they seemed.
Of all the ways life could have gone, with everything that you're managing, you wished for an easier route than this.
Your tendency to give up before the words could even leave your mouth led you here. A simple yes or a nod to move things along. Less friction meant less communicating. What should be basic conversation skills tied your tongue. The impediment handing out unsolicited invitations for people to pry about your speech mannerisms—your palate.
It would have been a perfect strategy if people were one-dimensional, if you didn't have needs.
Slowly inhaling stifled the sting in your eyes. With all the trash and reorganizing done, you picked lint off your clothes using the mirror as a guide. A menial and utterly thoughtless time waster.
This regrettable passivity led you to a partner the pure opposite of passive. People date opposites all the time; it's normal! Even if you reevaluate your life choices in a cold sweat at three am like clockwork; you wouldn't have it any other way.
BEN is quiet, patient, and sparingly helpful when you're unwell. When you spoke, the words weren't alien, it understood most things you failed to verbalize. There was no need for repetition or forcing more clarity than you were capable of.
You can just talk.
It was almost perfect, like a diamond in the rough if BEN didn't have the same proclivity as everyone else to stare at your mouth.
Generally speaking, the staring is fine; its dark eyes locked onto things like a finely tuned target to observe, regardless of who or what. Yet, this felt scrutinizing. Your whistle of certain syllables, the nasally tone, and the carefulness with which you ate were all noted by its subtle amusement or nearly inaudible whispering. As if all the effort you put into your health is disregarded and gawked at.
You wanted to understand instead of relying on assumptions that ate away at your spirit. Maybe it wanted a kiss or to admire you, but BEN never cared about the fuss and feathers of TLC. Perhaps false hope was worse than the negative assumptions.
Walking to the mirror, you finished getting ready. The only thing left to do is more mindless tasks: dusting yourself off or fixing up your face. All the things that didn't need to be messed with to distract from the pair of eyes—no, face emerging in your television.
"Hey, BEN..." You tried to play it off, but their presence unfurled a deep-seated panic. "I've been meaning to ask, why do you stare at my mouth?" Sputtering out the words, the question was less of a direct confrontation but a cautious mumble into the silence. Awkwardness from stirring the pot made you want to rip your skin off. The truth, while potentially devastating, has to be better than the cycle of never-ending uncertainty.
Colors on the screen warped to static, emitting a hum like nails on a chalkboard. The static stained the senses with the taste of electricity: flat sparkling water, a bloody metallic. Even if what you saw was in the corner of your eye, and was hardly visible in the mirror, whenever BEN contorted out of the devices, bile rose in your throat.
BEN took no time to emerge, standing a breath away from your back. They were speaking in layered whispers. You were unsure if they were speaking to you or amongst themselves.
Turning around, your eyes snap up to the familiar dark ones waiting for your attention.
So, they were talking to you.
The garbled mess of an answer started to chip away at your curiosity. "You know I can't—you know I can't hear you when you talk like that." Playing dentist and pulling teeth wasn't worth the effort. If it didn't outright say what's on its mind, there's no point. You straightened your back to your full height. Showing more weakness would get you nowhere, but if the mere essence of the question itself didn't give you away, the tremble in your lip and the rehearsed positioning of your tongue and teeth did. "Seriously, do you do it to be mean? Is that why?"
As your words went on, its attention meandered from your eyes, following the downward path of features to your mouth, as if a landmark. Teetering on the edge of a snicker, BEN's smile raised its cheeks. The mirth unreflected in the rest of its face, eyes nondescript and empty. "Shouldn't you have more faith in your partner?"
Mentally, the answer is fresh, an answer you know, like the back of your hand. You should, and you do, because if not them, then who else could you trust? Regardless, you're competent enough to know the notion should be reciprocated... Unless it already is, and you are unaware of it. After all they are discreet; maybe you should trust them more. "I do trust you, honest!" You throw your hands up, carefully stringing together the sentence. "It's just, everyone does it to be rude, so I thought you'd do the same."
"You stare at me a considerable amount. Fair is fair." Its retort was slicker than oil, a concise and struggle-free response rolled off the tongue. Their smugness is an open book written in a language that may as well tell you nothing at all. BEN shrug, knowing it salted the wound. It's not on them; you've just yet to realize anything.
There was always something you left unconsidered: another push to doubt your intelligence. You weren't dumb. BEN never calls you dumb, but it knew more than you; it knew better. Another problem to pile atop the trash mountain of that is your insecurity. When your looks lasted too long, it was on the account that BEN is on the cusp of looking human and nowhere near acting like it. Even with the members with facial differences, it was the skin prickling unease they exhumed that made you stare. That, or you just wanted to admire them, is all.
Still, staring is rude. Looking at the time, you have other things to do than helplessly prance around a hypocritical question. Leaving the room is on your itinerary. "I just—I dunno, I'm sorry, ok? I gotta go, I'm running late." Had you rushed, you'd escape this mess by the skin of your teeth. Instead, you stood stiff, nearly knocked over by BEN blocking the door.
Annoyance creased its brows, where anymore would make an expression worth leaving you aghast. "Don't waste my time with 'I dunno.'" The pitchy repeat of your squeaked-out excuse grated like a fork on porcelain. "Are you saying I'm ugly?" They were out of tune, voices interrupting each other.
"No, no!" Stress jumbled your half-baked responses into frustrated sputters of nonsense, waving your hands in an attempt to extinguish their anger. The sting of hypocrisy burned your face with dampening vision. "I don—don't think you're ugly at all! I swear on my life!" With BEN's face, assuming how it felt was a challenge, yet you never chalked it up to insecurity, if that is the case.
Time stretched on, seconds matured into minutes. Your eyes watered. Nausea bubbled in your throat, hitting the back of your nose with a sting.
You don't want to be looked at, you don't want to be spoken to—
A persistent holler ruptured in your ears, wracking your nerves to sober up immediately. Your sniffling, confusion, and huffing pushed BEN's smile further than it should go. They could call you easy, pathetic, anything that, if it were still alive, would have it fighting for air, wheezing to collect itself.
Hunkering down to face you nose to nose, its quiet voice answered with a chuckle. "Likewise."
A cursory scan to the nearest table, BEN reached over, plucking the tissues to roughly wipe your tears, smearing the suffocating mix of snot and tears across your face, muffling your confusion.
“What the fuck is that supposed to mean?" For all the times they never commented on how you ate, patiently waited for you to get the point across, and stuck with you through infections and recoveries. Why would BEN judge? "My cleft doesn't bother you?"
Its disgust was prompt; grimacing at the soiled napkin that dared touch its hand warranted the new litter on the floor.
The moment a reprieve, each breath was a stupid thought but pure honesty. "Would you ever kiss me, then?" Heaving in and out, exhaling carried your words.
BEN paused. Whatever ran through its head, was enough for it to look elsewhere, for once.
It took the cue to get closer.
Silence filled the stagnant air, the dreaded weight straining your heart, BEN's giggle cinching the pressure in your chest. "I've considered it before." Its thumb reached for your bottom lip, grazing the skin, mulling it over, observing how your lip quivered to the touch.
It spoke with a refreshing air that balmed your agitated skin, hot with tears.
There, a quick and concise peck.
You wanted to savor the cool that prickled your lips and filled your head with static.
Quick and concise, but never enough.
In the same halfhearted chortle, its attention stationed at your lips, humming to itself in satisfaction, or contemptment? "But you know, I don't care for kisses.”
There was nothing negative you could see. It was nothing you would be privy to anyhow, but reassurance honeyed your rigid nerves.
B.E.N Dating headcanons!(Behavioral event network)
Note: this is NOT Ben drowned! if you don’t know who is B.E.N you need to watch the ben drowned ARG so don’t be confused why the tag says Ben drowned.
Warning: NSFW AND SFW headcanons, mentions of trauma.
They/He pronouns used for B.E.N!
SFW:
- When you two argue, its so random because BEN shows weird emotions, since they’re made from multiple people, it takes time for them to answer so when you’re arguing with them they’ll just stare at you for a long ass time before finally speaking and their emotions comes out all of a sudden. They’ll be emotionless staring at you trying to process what to say then suddenly their eyebrows starts turning down. Sometimes they randomly stop talking when you two argue and suddenly change the whole topic, thats when you know some other soul is talking to you.
- You barely have any privacy, he controls your whole phone/computer (whatever you use), sometimes you’ll be randomly scrolling on social media and suddenly your screen turns full white with a text saying "Hi".
-Ragebait king, they LOVE to annoy you and seeing you angry just gives them motivation to anger you even more!
-But why are they dating you? The reason is because they are bored, they have nothing better to do and also because they have a feeling for you that they can’t explain, but to be honest? They don’t ALL like you, B.E.N is formed from multiple souls and some might not like you but not to the point of hating you because in that case you two would have NEVER gotten together, They think you understand who they are and also that you’re easy to manipulate (They noticed that way before but they confirmed it when you two started dating), but besides all that they do have feelings for you.
-They flinch and sometimes get angry when you touch, they’re not used to random physical touch.
-They stalk you, I mean its pretty obvious that they would but a stalking way where they will genuinely know everything about you.
-They’re not very good with emotions so if you start crying they’ll just stare at you and say nothing until you calm down then they’ll try to make you feel better.
-Acts annoyed when you touch their hair but actually they like it, especially when you give them a massage because they think it feels good, but of course will never admit it but sometimes they actually want you to massage their scalp so when you lay down they will randomly hug you and press their head against you waiting for you to pet them.
-They don’t see the point of holding hands unless they wanna drag you somewhere.
-Dates with B.E.N are not normal dates like restaurants or anything fancy, for them a date is just sitting next to each others even if its for hours, but it barely happens since the souls in him can’t shut their mouth for once and they always have to talk.
-They don’t know how to compliment at all and they’ll say some things like "Your eyes are very symmetrical".
-You know you’re always safe because they’re always watching you, sometimes it makes you uncomfortable but its not like you can break up with them because once you get with them there’s no turning back.
-> adult content ahead:
NSFW:
-They can be dominant and submissive, it depends on their mood and their needs (including yours of course)
-They’re surprisingly vocal, They whimper and they weirdly whisper code names into your ears (?)
-It takes one night and they already know your whole body better than you do, not only that but it also takes them one night to know what you like/dislike during sex.
-I headcanon that they can change any part of their body when they want which means he can change his cock size whenever he wants.
-They usually starts with slow then get rough, B.E.N is naturally a rough person and doesn’t have much patience so it doesn’t take much for them to get fast, but as i said they’ll start slow.
-They LOVE teasing, they always pull out all of a sudden when you’re close just to see you groan and get mad.
-LOVES squeezing thighs, no matter if you’re skinny or chubby he will squeeze them.
How would BEN treat a reader who has a chronic illness and is in a wheelchair? I was originally too scared to ask until I saw you post about an anon sending an ask about a reader with a congenital disability djcjfjjfjfsl
I'm glad you asked! It's a pleasure to write, so never be afraid to ask🙂↕️

BEN x Chronically ill!reader
· · ─ ·✶· ─ · ·
Maybe you should have listened to the voice in the back of your head. That little voice of rationality yelling how nothing that is happening or has happened is normal.
Maybe if you could have gone out more often, met new people, seen new places. If you weren't at the whims of your health, life wouldn't be this way.
You were fine with the FOMO, the depression, everything. It's nothing new. You've long grown past the initial grief and rooted into acceptance.
Still, what used to be normal was a waste of time and energy. Everyone parrots the same talking points that progressively deteriorate the grounds of sensibility. Conversations wildly ranged from pity to selling you on a magical cure; anything to make you one of their inspirational stories because it's more inconvenient for them to witness your disability than for you to live it.
Had you used any common sense when downloading suspicious files off the internet, you'd be left with the same stale conversations. Completely forced to focus on the independence you could manage. How life is just okay at best. BEN couldn't have come at a better point in your life.
You hated it at first; how incessantly BEN harped on the latent disdain in people's voices, how others stared at you like an oddity. All you knew was a world in rose-tinted glasses; it made BEN's jabs as irritating as a fork grating porcelain. Of course, after sometime, BEN was proven correct. When you needed help the most to get rid of that parasite, it was the straw that broke the camel's back. People saw your panic as "instability". You swore the disdain became visible. The expression was as ugly and calloused as BEN said. People never cared, no matter how much they claimed to.
Though, you don't regret it much anymore.
BEN never tried to fix you or shove quackery down your throat. They made you see the truth. Even if the truth sounded disconnected, they always knew what to say. The extent to which you looked forward to seeing them, even in your current state, bedridden and feeling useless. In the haze of stabbing pains and fatigue, you didn't feel a chill or register the floorboards creaking under the weight of nothing.
It was the thud on the nightstand and the following chime of the tableware clinking that startled you out of the in-between state of sleep. Laden with fatigue, the bed was a functional glue trap. Each breath or movement shot off the radiating pain, forcing breaths so short they may as well be a succession of gasps. Though pain dampened your excitement, it was enough energy to roll over carefully to see BEN, bright smile and all.
"Good morning." BEN's hushed greeting would've read as a mumble if it were anyone else, but its—their voices were poignant, clearer than the thoughts in your head. There was a palpability to your eagerness. You shoved off the blankets to sit up as if it was the fabric that inhibited you. It was kind eagerness that made BEN's smile raise higher, laugh a bit harder, and exacerbate the emotion farther. "Here." BEN took your arm to provide additional support, helping you sit up and rest your back against the headboard with ease.
The proximity felt like a faux embrace, enough to flood your cheeks with a subtle warmth. You jumbled out a thanks. To think the thing you used to try your damnedest to escape from is helping you with a flare-up. Now, even the smell of a desktop computer running warm sparked your heart like fireworks, only for the debris to pit in your stomach nervously. BEN supported your weight with too much ease, as though you weighed nothing. Yet, the nerves left as soon as it came; you're always overreacting.
At the side of the bed, your wheelchair was stationed, empty, until BEN sat in it indiscriminately like any other beat-up chair in the house comfortably. Its smile bore the smugness of a cat purposefully doing what it knows it shouldn't do.
This time there would be no arguing or worries about them breaking it. You let them sit and simply smiled. While others are out toiling this morning, you, for once, you had it better. Sometimes, like today, you wake to a loving partner whose a walking heartsease, who made you feel alive. All the fear, anger, even the spiral felt rejuvenating. You didn't feel idle in the backseat of your own life while the ailments that wrecked your body were at the helm speeding down the road.
BEN gestured to the nightstand, guiding your line of sight to the tray of a hot breakfast. The delicious aroma filled the room with a mouthwatering warmth. A phantom taste of the food sent hunger pains in your stomach. It was obviously homemade but enough to be photo-worthy. Besides the food were your medication and a tall glass of water. Your eyes trailed the glass, lost in the mirror stillness of the water's reflection of your disheveled appearance.
Everything was a bundle of perfection that served to aggravate the pain by instigating stress. The awareness amplified the raidiating pain in your nerves that surged bone deep.
You realized you weren't hungry anymore. You weren't excited to see another day.
When has BEN ever been this nice?
You grab the tray over, rattling it with the tremor in your hands. The food appeared edible, but BEN's stare was nauseating. It held acridity you were sure seeped into the breakfast instead of love and care.
"Eat it." BEN narrowed its eyes, speaking in a voice with a firm undercurrent that sounded one step away from shoving the food in your face like a animal.
Your stomach twisted. They had to have poisoned the breakfast to warrant such adamance. It couldn't be because they wasted their time and effort when they haven't cooked in who knows how long. In what way was it tampered with? A tasteless poison? Grounded glass?
Carefully, your hand grasped the glass of water. In a swift move, the medicine in your spare hand was promptly tossed into your mouth. Anticipation tightened your throat, forcing the water and pills to scrape your throat like sandpaper.
The oxygen in your lungs sputtered out a cough to release the breath that clawed for air to ground yourself.
You weren't choking, convulsing, or dying.
This was just water.
In the corner of your eye, BEN held in its childish snicker, developing a dusted shade of pink across its cheeks. The stilted silence gave your thoughts time to form. Blunt questions whittled down to words that nearly tiptoed around the point until you spat it out. "Why are you being so nice?"
BEN scoffed, resting its head on its hand. "Don't take it for granted. Would you rather pity?"
Raising your utensil, you took small bites out of your meal. The breakfast wasn't gourmet, but considering who made it, may as well be. The avalanche of guilt-ridden rumblings in your head nearly distracted you from the taste. They willingly wasted their time making you food that was edible. This was one of those rare, strangely human moments that made your heart flutter and mind wistful. You hummed in delight, turning your full attention to them. "BEN, this is actually really good."
Maybe it was the genuineness in your voice, the sort of awe that beheld this act as a great discovery, or the fact you were eating and talking, but no words were exchanged. The seconds of silence were a needle passing through a balloon, waiting to be ruptured.
BEN stood from your wheelchair, making the short distance to sit on the edge of the bed, sitting with you shoulder to shoulder. "Where would you like to go after this?" Its quiet voice disturbed the fragile silence as abruptly as its entire presence in your life. It felt your body stiffen, hesitant to lie on its shoulder.
Your chewing slowed, unease rearing in your mind. "What? You wanna push me around?" The wheelchair, though costly, was the only means of doing more on your own accord. "I don't know..." The words trailed to a dead end at the feel of a hand on the crown of your head, smoothing the flyaway strands of hair in a lulling rhythm.
"Do you really trust yourself?" BEN lowered its head close enough you can feel the vibrations of its giggle near your ear. "Remember, if we wanted to leave you in a ditch, we would've done so."
The intensity of BEN's stare was accompanied by a grin scretching farther than possible. Was the favor to fulfill their boredom? Maybe, but they're right; your health's fickleness causes your body to betray you at random. They're different from other people; they wouldn't hurt you. You lean against BEN's shoulder, taking deep breaths through the aching discomfort. "Sure, I guess I don't mind." Ignoring rationality proved more fruitful than not. As long as you're better off, the reason why didn't matter much.
