My statements before covered a lot of it, but reading terminal entries is so interesting on how v2 thinks. They think in canon they should be better than v1, and so when they lose, they immediately go on a killing spree to heal and get a new arm. What sparks interest from what I've read is V2 DID RESEARCH ON V1
They ligit went and learned from V1 (watching clips from it in the terminals, they probably also practiced in the cybergrind) and STUDIED IT!! Who in the right mind gets so pressed over losing, you research your enemy who probably forgot you existed at the time, built a new arm specifically made so you can catch up to them to have a very dramatic fight in greed
Like all that work for them to also be sitting on the thrown like that stand up, crack their knuckles and stretch like PLEASE that is not straight at all
You also have to add in the fact it's likely most machines are afraid of death, v2 is is most likely scared of death too, giving how they run away 2 TIMES, but when they got defeated the first time they threw that fear out the window and went "nah I need this mf dead NOW"
ever been so mad you lost an arm you throw away all reason, going against most likely your own code of staying alive, because you wanna be petty? Add that with how they act when fighting, they are very much a sassy machine who is petty, and I LOVE IT
|| yeah!!! v2 is such a hater, they're so passionate about it; like, they absolutely did their research, and it's so true that they're clearly scared of death (the running away, the screaming) but they were willing to put that aside to Be A Hater. 10/10, no notes, chef's kiss; it comes across so tsundere too, like, i'm sure if v1 and v2 just clanked their heads together and cuddled it out this whole rivalry could've ironed itself out alfndlxnslcn
the sass, too. the bow, the knuckle cracking, the 'i'm better than you' sitting in the throne stance... guh. i love veevee i want to bite them (affectionately)
