I just hate that the whole second half of the episode was a dream and the world is ending outside? 

I mean, the characters are happy and oblivious but the Apocalypse! I hate hate hate it aarrrgggg.

Being Human Spoilers and Question

Hey there! So I've been rambling, ranting and raving elsewhere about the series finale of "Being Human" (like non-tagged posts on this blog). I enjoyed it, I liked it, I thought it was a decent ending. 

We all know by now what the twist was, but I have a question...

spoilers...

Do you think it was the Devil's doing at the very end? Or God's? (Or whoever's?) The Devil winning makes me so mad and sad! I can't believe the producers would end it with the characters happy but the world going through the Apocalypse. I know that's not how fans would have wanted it to end. 

So? What do you think?

Being Human, you are reminding me of "Lost," now, because of what happened to everybody in the series finale of that show as well.

But one thing, oh no, what, I pray not….

This isn't just Alex (and Tom's?) afterlife/dream, is it? I know vampires aren't supposed to be able to cross over, but it was implied Mitchell had and Annie was reunited with him. (Shhh. I want to believe that, at least.)

If Hal isn't really Hal, I'd be so fucking sad. I like to think they got brought together like that afterlife in "Lost." If Mitchell didn't get a free pass and end up with Annie, George and Nina, I'd be fucking sad *and* mad. My vampire boys! /cry

But there's every indication it IS like that world in "Lost." What did they say to the Devil? The only way to make the three of them leave him alone was to give them a dream world where they were together.

But but but, I don't want it to be the Devil's dream world creation, that's so much sadder than everybody already being dead, because it would mean he won!

Now it's time I watch the American version of "Being Human." Netflix'd...

There's got to be some kind of middle ground to this ending.

Hal, Tom and Alex succeeded in killing Devil!Rook, but they died in the process. That last shot of the four of them lying there dead was the real ending. 

Our epilogue after they get up and think they are human (that thing with Alex makes no sense anyway so I figured something was up but was too happy for her to care) IS NOT A TRICK BY THE DEVIL. I think it was a trick by GOD, if that makes any sense, as a Thank You for killing the Devil. 

Now, I know that God is off gardening or whatever and like Hatch said, hasn't been around in millennia, but obviously the afterlife functions on its own and this dream world Hal, Tom and Alex found themselves in was a "good" version of what the Devil was offering them earlier. 

I refuse to believe the Devil won. We have that overhead shot of the four of them lying dead to prove it. 

So yeah, we've been INCEPTED. I just feel like such a dipshit for not realizing as soon as Alex resurrected for no good reason, and didn't realize until that last shot of the little wolf origami, and someone pointing out on Tumblr just now, "The wolf origami proves they're in the dream world." Like Leo's top at the end of the movie "Inception."

But then again, Alex's resurrection is dream-like enough that you don't even need the little origami wolf. But I suppose that wolf was there to remind me, "Eris you dipshit YOU'VE BEEN INCEPTED."

But in the dream world, fuck it, Hal and Alex are together and that makes them and ME happy. 

But I refuse to believe it's the Devil's dreamworld, even though it seemed he was so easily vanquished. That sort of thing would be too depressing. 

I KNEW they were going to die in order to defeat him, but much like the others finding their way to the Afterlife (Annie's door opening, Eve telling her "They're waiting for you," and Annie's big smile), these three got to be together in their own, SO TECHNICALLY IT'S STILL A HAPPY ENDING AND I'M NOT GONNA CRY.
