Hi there! I'm Mel and I'm so glad you stopped by today!! So before we get started let me tell you a little bit about myself... I'm a Mom to two full grown kids who have kids of their own, which makes me a Nana to some of the best and most gorgeous (I think so at least! LOL) grandkids. I am also a Nana to two angel grandbabies who missed beyond words.
I've been married three times, divorced twice and widowed from my third husband. I've been a widow for a little over three years now, he passed in his sleep after suffering a heat stroke and passing out. He had a blood clot on his brain that nobody was aware of about the size of a quarter. That's been something I've really struggled with and a topic that I'm sure will be visited more than once on this blog.I've found love again though in a place I never really expected.
A very old boyfriend ran into my sister and apparently they started talking about me. She set me his Facebook profile link and said I should look him up. So of course I got on his profile and read all about what had been going on in his life. He was suffering from Stage 4 Cirrohsis of the Liver, COPD, and a few other things. He had just been released from Hospice because some enzyme level had risen enough that they didn't feel he was in immiment danger of dying. We started talking and were hanging out a lot. Before either of us realized it he was living with me. It seemed like it was meant to be, both of us were in a really bad place in our lives and needed a life line.
As for what pays the bills, I've been a career state government employee for over 22 years, only need 5 more to retire with full benefits. I don't really mind my current job, it is more of a personality thing that makes me want to look for another position. Just don't like the concept of an office snitch and she has made it a hostile work environment. That too will most likely be a topic that pops up repeatedly on here.
