If the demon didn’t like the sacrifice, then it wouldn’t grant any of Eddie’s wishes. That part almost put Eddie off to it, but as it turned out, all he had to do was make the person he wanted to sacrifice watch the tape of the ritual and nothing else." Or Eddie does a satanic ritual, and Steve ends up paying the price.
