Annabeth: We are fucked up. But we still got this. Lightning Boy, go say something encouraging.
Jason: who, me?
Jason: (thinking) hmm...
Jason: (cleans up) I love you all!
Annabeth: Gross. Now we'll be sad if you die.
Piper: What a good boy.
Percy: (blushs)
To Believe in Someone
Fandom: League of Legends Ship: Jhin x Shen Summary: Jhin thinks about what led him to his current, peaceful present.
[AO3]
Word count: 803
There were times when Jhin wondered he deserved what he had. Thinking back, he was fated to die by the hands of the two little boys that were out to kill him. Or at least, he thought so.
Yet here he was, spending his days happily and leisurely in Ionia. He hadn’t felt that urge to kill in years either, that compulsion having disappeared after a long time in… Jhin chuckled. Therapy? He supposed he could call it that. Of course, he’s had his low moments, when he nearly or completely failed to resist his compulsions.
Needless to say, it almost caused a rift in the bonds he worked to keep. Even though he kept telling himself he won’t do it again, he was afraid. He feared all his efforts would be for naught, that he was hopeless. And for a time, he believed it. After all, his past attempts had a bad end. Who was to say he could resist the next?
“I know you’re trying to do the right thing, so I believe you. I have faith you can stop yourself.”
The words echoed in his head. Believing his own words was already difficult enough, but having someone else believe in him was reassuring. Even when he almost gave in again, those same words would be repeated with the same determination and strength.

Jhin/Sona
YES WE GOT THAT GOOD GOOD UP IN HERE. BINGO!!
As I’ve stated before, it takes a very specific iteration of Jhin to make any ship with him work. The Jhin/Sona writing and artwork paints a very believable scenario in which Jhin is able to develop the capacity for love by overcoming his murderous tendencies, and in that kind of universe, I believe Sona is a great candidate for his romantic partner. Not only is she an artist as well, but she can also take care of him and show him an unconditional love he hasn’t previously experienced. The angst and fluff potential is unreal and it’s hooked me in.
I do understand though, that many people do not agree with a Jhin that takes on this type of personality or route in life, it would be beneficial to at least understand the context in which its shipped and why people like it instead of instantly throwing negative labels onto this ship. There are definitely worse offenders for crackships in terms of potential and believability if you look at the entirety of this fandom.
And to answer the other anon, canon Jhin seems pretty asexual, but if open to the possibility of a romantic partner I’d think he’d be pansexual. He doesn’t discriminate amongst his victims, so I doubt he would discriminate potential lovers, either.
