Different anon, yeah technically there is a love triangle, it's just a one-sided one with Danny still loving Laura and Laura just loving her as a friend. I don't know if that counts? But you're right, it's not a traditional love triangle since Laura wasn't torn between the two. Plus I loved her and Danny's friendship so so much. It was refreshing to see something like that + I dislike love triangles so Carmilla gets kudos for not doing that from me also.
Okay but listen, let me teach you something. (not you but people in general I guess) People can get over people and still be friends. It’s a wild concept but wow I know, right? Do you know how many friendships like that I’ve had where I had a crush on someone but eventually got over it and we became best friends instead?
That’s honestly how I see hollence in s2 (nothing against people who ship it) I just see Danny being a friend. It kinda pisses me off when some people reduce her to just someone pinning over Laura or seeing her as a threat to the ship. Like even in s1, Danny backed off when Laura “broke up with her” but it’s still her natural instinct to protect people. You can get over your crush and still love and care about someone as a friend. Sorry this turned into a rant but it’s been bothering me since s2 started lol
Either way I’m fucking ready to see what will happen with Danny in s3 omg if you’ve been following me for a while you know my love for weird crackships so let me tell you, I’m ready to ship everything.
