I'm extremely pro-vaccine and the decision to not get vaccinated absolutely affects everyone in your community as the vaccine reduces your likelihood of spreading the disease (source), in massively reduces the likelihood and amount of medical resources required if you get covid (source) freeing up the healthcare system for people with other conditions, and protects people who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons (source).
Despite this I am inherently uncomfortable with the idea of forcing people to get vaccinated via population wide mandates. I am however 100% pro taking away privileges from people who chose not to be vaccinated or as a condition of employment when your job involves contact with vulnerable people.
Don't want to get vaccinated? That's fine but don't expect to keep your job as a receptionist at a doctors office or childcare worker. It is a reasonable condition of employment in those cases and many jobs have required vaccinations for years as well as screening requirements for blood borne illnesses for jobs where there is a potential risk to the patients/customer like nursing and dental hygienist jobs (source).
Want to go to brunch at a cafe? Sorry, takeout only if your not vaccinated and you have to be masked up when interacting with the server. Want to take your kid to the zoo? Great but since your voluntarily unvaccinated you'll have to wear a mask at all times and if case numbers start climbing again then you'll be the first to have the door slammed shut in your face. Want to see a movie or do some Christmas shopping? Sorry you're gonna have to wait for the movie to be available to stream and since scented candles are not an essential service it's a masked click and collect for you only.
Offering non-essential goods and services in different way for those who are unvaccinated (such as click and collect and outdoor dining or takeout only policies) in order to protect the workers, other customers and the general public is not an infringement of your rights. It's basic health and safety regulation.
