Happy Birthday to the awesome @creativefangirling! 🎉 Here's Bellamy and Murphy competing for your attention. ❤️ (Another imagine coming up later!) Murphy glares over at Bellamy, holding his (probably, it's currently got wrapping paper on it so he doesn't know what it is) dumb gift in his hand and leaning up against a wall just across from the front door. It was a fucking surprise party and he's just standing there, meanwhile Murphy's on the ground hiding behind a fucking couch. "You're gonna wreck the surprise, idiot." Murphy calls over to Bellamy, whose eyes flicker over to where the younger boy was crouching on the floor. Bellamy's eyes narrow. "Where am I meant to go? I'm too big to fit anywhere." He argues, waving a hard around the living room. That was true, all the good spots had been taken and there really wasn't much space left. "Go hide in the kitchen." "I want to be the first one she sees when she walks in." Bellamy replies stubbornly, holding his gift tighter in his hand as she shuffles uncomfortably. Murphy rolls his eyes at his childishness and looks away. "You're so obvious." He mutters, knowing exactly why Bellamy wanted to be the first one she sees. Bellamy was always competing with him for her attention, while Murphy was happy to let her chose whoever she wanted to be with without interference. Murphy leaves the conversation there and Bellamy does manage to crouch down on the floor into a somewhat hidden place before the door opens and everyone shouts "surprise!" as loud as they could manage. May jumps in shock, her brother walking in the door behind her with a sly grin on his face having helped organise the party with some encouragement from his mother. Murphy laughs at the look of surprise and betrayal on May's face. They'd well and truly spooked her. Bellamy, as he had said he would be, was the the first one to jump up and wrap his large arms around her. They shared a sweet hug for a few seconds and Bellamy pulls back and gives her a quick peck on one of her already flushed cheeks. "Happy Birthday, beautiful." He grins mischievously. "Oh my gosh, this is insane." She laughs quietly in response, shaking her head at the shock of it all. She looks around the room to see that all of her friends were there and she can't wipe the smile from her face. It meant the world to her that they cared so much. While she tries to calm down Bellamy takes her hand and brings her over to the couches to sit down. Murphy gets his own hug a few minutes later (when Bellamy's looking the other way). The party was very relaxed but very fun. They were having a sort of movie marathon, Harry Potter of course, and chatting a bit on the sofas in the living room. After some snacks and a few drinks Octavia suggests opening up the presents that everyone had brought to the birthday girl, to which everyone agrees. Except- "Not until after the cake!" Monty cries, almost personally offended at the thought. "He's right, it's tradition." Jasper agrees with a shrug. "It's the law." Says Miller sternly. Laughing at the boys' childishness, the girls get up and go into the kitchen to get the cake ready while Bellamy stands up and turns off the lights in the room. When they all come back, Lexa is holding a cake with white, blue and purple frosting with some sparkly candles on top. There's a drawing of a young Remus Lupin on it in print-icing with a speech bubble saying "Happy Birthday." Underneath in small, hand piped icing are the words "Ravenclaw rules". May grins. It's only after everyone has had a piece of cake that Monty then allows the presents to be open, but only if he's allowed to present his gift first. He gives her a Mumford & Sons mug and a book about ancient myths and legends that he immediately opens up and starts showing her all the cool illustrations that were in the middle of the book. Bellamy's next, having wanted to go first but Monty got to it before he could. Sitting down on the couch beside her he puts his gift on her lap and waits for her to open it. She rips open the paper and sees a small but powerful Bluetooth speaker and a couple DVD box sets (Stitchers and Pretty Little Liars). She smiles brightly at them before turning and giving Bellamy a kiss on the cheek. Bellamy smiles smugly, happy to have picked a good present that she was happy with. Murphy scowls. A little while after the presents Murphy goes out into the back yard. Bellamy had been taking up most of May's time talking and distracting her from Murphy in general and he was beginning to feel a bit jealous. In his mind he had no chance with her if Bellamy wouldn't leave her alone for a minute. It was actually a little bit creepy, stalker-ish even - "Hey, there you are." Murphy's head whips back at her voice, a smile crawling into his face when he sees her stepping outside. She sits beside him on the porch and he looks over at her, stoked that she had gotten away from Creeper Bellamy for a while. "Here I am. Seems like you were busy in there, so..." Murphy waves his hand aimlessly. "I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to speak to you properly." May responds. "Bellamy-" "Has been putting his moves on you." Murphy finished, raising an eyebrow at her while May just lets out a quiet laugh. "I wouldn't call it that." Murphy cackles. "You're delusional!" He accuses. "No, really. Why would he bother?" She shrugs, unconvinced. Murphy can't stop the words coming out of his mouth before he says them "Maybe because you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen." Murphy tells her intently, leaning over and looking in her eyes. "And because you took everyone's breath away when you walked in the room tonight. And because you take my breath away whenever I look at you." He adds, softly. May looks at Murphy, stunned, before Murphy decides that this could be his one and only chance to show her how he feels and so he leans in, pressing his lips to hers. Luckily she melts into the kiss and Murphy wraps her arms around her. Distantly the sound of the back door opening catches Murphy's attention but he ignores it. The following huff and the slamming of said door leads Bellamy Blake had just caught Murphy kissing his girl. All'a fair in love and war, Blake. Game on.
