"Hey, asshole!" Rosalie snarled, swatting the newspapers away from the table angrily. "Are you trying to get us all killed?!"

"What are you talking about?" Jasper asked, his voice deadly calm, his face indifferent.

"Oh, spare me the bullshit, twin," she spat, pointing to the scattered papers, "I'm talking about this."

"You of all people should understand this, Rosalie." He dosed her with a shot of pure vitriol, before letting a cloud of calm engulf the room.

Her eyebrow shot up. "It's different. What I did... they hurt me."

"You hated them."

"Yes, I do hate them." He didn't miss her use of present tense. He suspected that no amount of forever would dull her hatred for those men. He could feel it, piercing through his carefully-crafted calm.

"I hate them. I hate them all," Jasper said. He was the best at controlling his emotions; none of his rage made it to his face.

Rosalie rolled her eyes and threw her hands up. "It isn't the same! They didn't hurt you!"

"Didn't they?" Jasper asked. "Does the creator not feel pain when his creation is monstrous? Do they not grieve for their souls, that they cannot undo what's been done?" He looked at the photos of his victims splattered across the dining room floor. "Does a man who has learned so much not feel the sting of the ignorant lauding his past mistakes?"

Rosalie looked at the ground, at the faces, at the headlines. "I didn't drink them," she muttered.

Jasper was the best at controlling his emotions.

He was the worst at controlling his thirst.

"What is the point of all this power if you can't use it for good?"

Jasper's fist clenched. And then suddenly, it was forced open. Rosalie's hand made its way into his, tugging until he looked at her.

"Don't hide from us anymore," she said. She squeezed his hand once, then turned to leave. "You're not a hero, you know?" She reached the stairs and paused to look back at him. "This doesn't make you square."

"No," Jasper said, looking back down into the faces of the men and women he'd drained dry, "it makes me less hungry."

Hello, twilight related question, would you perhaps know a fic where Laurent actually changes Bella in the meadow?

A quick google tells me there’s at least 3, I literally typed in ‘Laurent turns Bella fanfic’. I know this probably isn’t the answer you’re looking for but I haven’t read Twilight fanfiction in years!
