I basically redesigned them (again). I love Bella and her confidence, I even cosplayed her!

But I think they were so cruel with her design once she got older, while Scarlett (Erica's mother name in my fanfic) and Mandrake stay the same.

Signs

Bella had been feeling unwell for several days, a discomfort unlike anything she had experienced before. Fatigue weighed her down to the point where even getting out of bed felt like an insurmountable task. Her time in the workshop, once her sanctuary, had become unbearable. The familiar, pungent smells she had tolerated for years now churned her stomach, leaving her nauseous and irritable.

P.S: I know "Earwig and the witch" is not a very famous movie, but it's one of my favorites even with its plot holes and abrupt ending. Why? Because it leaves room for imagination! With so little information, you can create a lot of possible scenarios. This is one of them.

While we can see the relationship between Erica and her tutors, before and after the worm incident…we know little about the tutors, or what happened after the redhead appeared. My goal is to illustrate some ideas I had about it, this being the most dramatic.

(I adapted Mandrake and Bella's age a bit to make this scenario work. They are between mid 30s and 40s).

The other day I was rewatching "Friends", and I remember this scene when Chandlers watches Phoebe's video about "birth". So...I thought how this would work in my AU/FANFIC.

Scarlett broke the rules, consorting with a mortal, opening the doors to her world, and thus conceiving a half-breed child.

The Twelve Witches, charged with maintaining the balance and punishing those who broke it, immediately sought her out. Of course, Scarlett was already gone, and finding her would not be easy.

Bella, furious at her sister's betrayal (and wanting to protect Mandrake), offers to capture her, not knowing that she would soon give birth to a sweet little girl.

And so the hunt began.

Sophie is a real devil! She's skilled like her mother, but short-tempered like her father.

Relationships

She's daddy's girl👑💠⚜️Mandrake spoils her too much: he lends her money💸, satisfies her whims🧁, even gave her his own demons.

She calls Erica Big Sis, and they get along great. Erica always helped her with her homework, as well as with her spells. She always carried her after school, and played with her and Custard.

Mommy issues alert!☣️Bella is a witch, and her sense of motherhood took a while to kick in. She adopted Erica bc was a child capable of taking care of herself, but Sophie wasn't…she was a baby who depended on her 24/7 and she didn't like it at all.

From time to time, an inspection is required at the homes that took in children from the orphanage. In this case, and due to the absence of a social worker, the Matron and Thelma went to visit this particular family.

Erica asked her guardians to behave like normal people, that way, they wouldn't push her away. Besides, it was part of her plan...

Transcription:

Matron: Erica, how you've grown!

Thelma: You're quite a lady!

Matron: Tell us, are u happy with your family?

E: Yes Matron! They're great! In fact, they told me that they'd adopt Custard!"

Matron: Oh, really? I'm glad I have the papers here!"

Mandrake and Bella: Did we say that?

Mandrake: Whatever...

Bella: I'll kill her later...
