95 #thankyou cards created by my #middleschool students for our #distancelearning #bellwork assignment this week are on their way to Washington, DC to thank the #capitolcleanupcrew for their work in cleaning up the Capitol Building last week. Check out the lastest post of @sharonsaysso on Instagram if you’d like to send your own note! I gave my kids some ideas of what they could write, but here are some of their original lines: “Thank you for cleaning up a mess that’s not even yours.” “You are a great example of responsibility and integrity.” “I wanna thank the Capitol workers for just being a part of this world and not making this world look bad.” “You are the kindest person ever in my eyes.” “You are the best person ever. We love you.” “Thank you for your effort and hard work in cleaning up the Capitol Building after the riot. We, as teenagers, appreciate and look upon you as great figures and examples on how to respect and honor our country. You truly made a difference by contributing with a little seed that unites our country under hard work and respect.” Thanks, @sharonsaysso, for organizing this! One of the concerns that a few of my students mentioned they felt this week was all the negativity that was out there, so we’re grateful to have this opportunity to practice a bit of positivity. 😊 #ilovemystudents #bealight https://www.instagram.com/p/CKKE5MpMVtk/?igshid=1e4olsn5o596d
