Inspired by @urbancomposition's recent Ralph Lauren in Italy adventure to bring out this thrifted wool-cashmere Belvest version of a navy blue windowpane suit (difficult to put into words what a pleasure this suit feels like when worn, due to the fit and suiting fabric). Also necessitated bringing back out this vintage Armani overcoat.

Window Pane gang.. this piece is from Belvest, a wool/linen mix that works well for the office. Belvest is a brand I would recommend if you are looking for a piece with handmade details but still affords that southern Italian tailoring with its shorter jacket, barchetta pocket, and open quarters.. This suit has moderate shoulders, so not quite structured and not quite soft, but somewhere in between. My tailor and I have future plans to reshape the pads and rework the armholes in the future, to allow for a better drape near the shoulder sleeve.. More on that when it occurs. The shirt is from Ralph Lauren Purple Label and has been in my keep for three years now. Gets a lot of wear in the summer with its cotton/linen capabilities. The tie is a cotton number from Seaward and Stern with pocket square, a linen number, from my custom clothier R Douglas. To finish it out, the shoes are one of my favorite pairs that I own from Crockett and Jones.
